Ava Sambora: Modeling Today, Miley Cyrus Tomorrow?

When Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora showcased the new collection for his fashion line White Trash Beautiful on Sunday, he had a fresh face on the runway: 13-year-old daughter Ava. “My daughter’s beautiful, she’s gregarious, she’s funny, she’s smart. I’m beyond proud,” raved Sambora to PEOPLE before the show. Ava, who made her modeling debut for her father’s clothing line at L.A. Fashion Week last March, was equal parts anxious teen and old pro at Sunday’s show. “I’m still nervous I just know how to hide it,” she admitted. “It’s like I really hope I’m not gonna trip, but now I’m a little more comfortable with it.” Changing into a dip-dyed lilac top, leather short-shorts and funky nude wedges for the presentation, the young model confidently strutted down the runway with mom Heather Locklear watching from the front row. But when she isn’t giving her dad a hand, Ava is just a regular teen who looks up to stars like Miley Cyrus. “I really love Miley Cyrus,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s just everything about her—I would really love to act with her. She’s like my biggest role model–besides my dad.” And like most of her peers, she is not impervious to Bieber fever admitting, “I met him once at the Grammy’s and I was like about to cry. I love him so much.” So who does the budding model think is the sexiest man alive? “My dad!” Ava joked. “Just kidding…Justin Beiber.” –Justine Harman; reporting by Nina Tyler

Picture It- I am trying visualize Richie in the dressing room with pins in his mouth, other sewing notions under his armpits and making adjustments on the models as they wait their turn on the catwalk – NOT… Ava, unlike Alexa Ray, has the great fortune of looking like her gorgeous mama… It would have been great to see Ava and Heather should have a mom/daughter in coordinating outfits…. I SEE HER DOING SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT JENNER GIRL (YES, I KNOW ITS KYLIE) – I JUST DON’T SEE HER MOM EXPLOITING HER LIKE KRIS JENNER DOES HER DAUGHTER(S)

Its funny how she says her biggest role models are Miley Cyrus and her dad. What about her mom, Heather? Glad to see at least one of her parents are!

Let her be a kid for heaven’s sakes. Shame on Richie and Heather!

@Crystal…maybe she is being a kid. ever think she wanted to walk in her dad’s show. give it a rest! at least they aren’t exploiting her like Kris Jenner does to her kids.

Why would any young girl look up to Miley Cyrus? Guess it just goes to show that the youth have no common sense or morals. Not exactly what I would call a role model. Sad!!!

Oh come on, she is modeling for her dad’s clothing line. She is being a kid and give her and her parents a break. How often have you seen then throw her in the public spotlight. Anyways, she’s adorable!!!!

Nice that Daddy thinks it’s OK to pimp out his underage daughter in skimpy clothes. No wonder her role models are Miley Cyrus and Billy! So sad! :(
