Victoria Beckham Wants to Celebrate a Woman’s Curves

ABC

Has Victoria Beckham finally arrived as a designer? Certainly sounds like it! The star visited The View on Friday, just in time to relive the glory of her Fashion Week. “It’s been a real whirlwind. I’m in my fifth season and just showed my fifth collection during Fashion Week and it was a huge success, I mean the reviews were great,” she said. “To be on the cover of WWD is such a big deal.” And it’s not all glitz and glamour, as Posh explained her working process. “It was me in my studio, with a meter and a half of parachute silk, draping it on myself and tying it in a knot and saying ‘Ok what do I think?’…It really is a dream come true.” In addition to her models, who Victoria insists be healthy and not too young, stars such as Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Drew Barrymore support Victoria’s sophisticated, sexy designs. But, Michelle Obama has yet to join the fan club. “I actually dressed Sarah Jessica Parker for an event at the White House so I’m getting there, I’m in the door!” she joked. And the reason that so many women are responding to her designs? “I want to celebrate a woman’s curves, though you’re right, I don’t have that many myself,” she says. “I love a woman’s body and I want to make women look and feel fantastic.” For more, visit abc.go.com –Jessie Goldberg

Claire Danes Admits an Addiction to Decorating

Ace Pictures

She may have been the picture of the glamorous Hollywood golden girl in her Armani Privé gown at the Emmys, but at home, Claire Danes is closer to Martha Stewart. “I am feverishly decorating,” the star told PEOPLE at Valspar Paint’s exhibition benefiting United States Artists in N.Y.C. Danes, along with husband Hugh Dancy, recently purchased a country home in New York’s Hudson River Valley, and having just celebrated their one-year anniversary, the couple is in full-on nesting mode. Danes confesses she’s obsessing over everything from lighting fixtures to what color to paint the library. (“I say library, it sounds very grand,” she clarifies. “It’s not.”) Either way, the newlyweds couldn’t be happier playing house. “We bought a fairly old home and it’s the first time I’ve ever lived in an actual house,” Danes said. “I grew up in a loft in [Manhattan’s] SoHo, so it’s completely exotic and novel for me to have a basement and an attic and stairs even! It’s a real adventure.” And rather than hit the latest hotspots, Danes and Dancy are content to keep it local. “Hudson is a great hub for antiques,” she says. “Warren Street is the strip and it’s just fantastic. It’s like my Disneyland.” Another favorite venue? “There’s a great auction house near us that we go to. A lot. You can eat chili and brownies and just buy antiques. It’s heaven!” And even when she doesn’t leave her “minimalist, mid-century” digs, the star indulges her passion for design. “I’ve discovered the wild world of the Internet. I’m an avid 1stdibs.com peruser and eBay peruser. Etsy.com, VandM.com—I love them all. It’s really addictive and I’m very vulnerable to it all. I find it very seductive,” she says. “I will shop anywhere.” –Suzanne Zuckerman

Ashley Greene, Camilla Belle and Others Show Style Matters More than Age

Rankin for Harper’s Bazaar

Proving that age is in fact just a number, stylish stars ranging from 23-year-old Ashley Greene to a 66-year-old Jacqueline Bisset, show off truly timeless looks and share a few fashion secrets in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Snapped by renowned photographer Rankin, actresses Greene and Peggy Lipton rock identical versions of the season’s must-have blouses and wide leg trousers from Chloè, while offering very different pieces of fashion wisdom. “I like to mix and match. I don’t want to be stuck in just one era,” says Greene, while Lipton, 64, offers this age-old advice: “Don’t dress too old. I don’t like to see a young person dressed too old.” And the key to 23-year-old Brazilian-American beauty Camilla Belle’s ever-chic style? “I am young enough that I can afford to be experimental,” says Belle, who models an updated take on the classic Burberry trench alongside Jacqueline Bisset. And for Fringe‘s Anna Torv, 31, transitioning from your 20s to your 30s has some definite fashion perks: “I don’t show my midriff anymore, I am glad I did that and I can move on now.” To see more ageless looks on Camilla, Ashley and more, visit harpersbazaar.com/agelessstyle. –Gillian Koenig

Sienna Miller Gets Front Row ‘Love’ for Her Twenty8Twelve Fashion Show

Jason Lloyd-Evans

While New York is in full Fashion Week recovery mode, London is just heating up! Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah helped light up the British city this weekend, when they sent their fashion line, Twenty8Twelve, down the runway on Saturday during London Fashion Week. The sister act presented their spring/summer 2011 collection to a front row that included Sienna’s longtime friend and fellow designer Matthew Williamson and back-on-again love Jude Law, who explained his presence simply, telling WWD, “I’m here because I love Sienna Miller.” The collection, designed for a girl on a journey traveling everywhere from Thailand to Mexico circa 1950, took inspiration from Joni Mitchell’s “Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter” album and featured eclectic prints and pops of color, accented with delicate lace and embroidery. And while the pieces were vibrant and playful, they still managed to exude a sophisticated and luxurious look–much like Sienna herself! “These are the clothes we wear,” Savannah told WWD. “And we want to keep all our girls happy.” To check out all of Twenty8Twelve’s spring looks, visit InStyle.com. Kelly Bensimon Cleans out Her Closet for a Cause

Hypnotics/Splash News Online

If you admire the way former model and fashion photographer Kelly Bensimon dresses on The Real Housewives of New York City, Sunday was your chance to snap up stylish items straight from the reality star’s designer wardrobe! Kelly cleaned house, or houses, in this case–both her East Hampton and Manhattan abodes–and had a label-heavy tag sale on the lawn of Georgica Creek Antiques in Wainscott, New York to benefit Island Harvest, a charity that fights hunger on Long Island. But this was no ordinary garage sale, with designer T-shirts, dresses and denim that one might be more likely to encounter on the pages of a magazine than strewn across a yard sale lawn. Chic sequined ball gowns from French Connection, stylish pieces from Rogan, Calypso, as well as a creamy dress from Twinkle—many with original tags—highlighted the fashionable assortment, while shoes included Prada pumps and a tall pair of silver boots. Bensimon’s daughters, Sea, and Teddy, were also present, setting up a lemonade stand to benefit the East Hampton Library. Also on hand? Bensimon’s hair stylist, Bradley Irion, who helped the reality star cull through her East Hampton closets, and of course, make sure that she looked fabulous for the big event. “I gave her a nice little curl, got the texture rolling,”Bradley Irion said. “She’s smokin’ hot for her yard sale.” Added Bensimon: “I can’t even do a yard sale without my hair being done.” Tell us: What would you want from Kelly Bensimon’s closet? –Jeffrey Slonim
