Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver Take Their Onscreen Faceoff to the Red Carpet

Jen Lowery/Splash News

What if you wore the exact same thing to a big Hollywood premiere as someone else? Now, what if you had been planning it for months? Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver turned up to the premiere of their new film You Again in matching teal David Meister dresses—on purpose! The duo showed their sense of humor in recreating their accidental onscreen faceoff in the comedy, also in dresses by Meister, for their big night. Turns out the funny ladies had the idea themselves earlier this summer and went to Meister for help in making it happen, collaborating with him on the style and the color choice. And for his part, the designer had a ball participating in the scheme. He tells PEOPLE, “It was a blast being at the premiere and it was a pleasure to be able to dress these two beautiful ladies once again.” It’s not the first time Sigourney has commissioned a dress from Meister — she loved her sheath in the movie so much that she had him design her sleek red gown for the 2009 Emmy awards.–Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Katherine Heigl Goes Back to Blonde: Love It or Hate It?

Jason Merritt/Getty

Katherine Heigl isn’t exactly immune to stirring up controversy, but on-set tussles aside, if there’s one thing that really gets her fans talking, it’s her drama-queen-worthy hair changes–and after months as a brunette, the actress is back to blonde. In the past, honey-colored hair has been her standard blonde staple, but this time around it looks like Heigl hit the bottle a little bit harder, bleaching it out to soft platinum. And while most stars tend to stick to one side of the hair color spectrum, Katherine seems to be one of the few A-listers who can gracefully shift between extremes. But we want to know your take on the change. Should Heigl stick with the lighter color, or defect back to the dark side? –Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Gwen Stefani Speechless over Her ‘Crazy’ Realistic Wax Statue

Ethan Miller/Getty

Looks like Gwen Stefani really took her song “Don’t Speak” to heart on Wednesday. Or was that the wax figurine of her exact likeness that didn’t speak? It may be a little more difficult to tell who the real No Doubt singer is and who has been immortalized in wax. Stefani, 40, was in Las Vegas Wednesday as her body double was unveiled at the Venetian hotel’s Madame Tussauds. And when the curtain dropped revealing a midriff-baring Stefani to the real Stefani, the songstress said, “That is so me.” For several minutes the mother-of-two stood in awe at her wax statue, touching its abs, staring into the eyes and putting her arm around the figure. “That is so weird,” she told her friends. “I can’t believe it. Can you believe it?” The figure is said to have taken over 500 hours to sculpt and mold and reportedly cost $300,000 to make. “That is crazy,” Stefani said while viewing the statue, six months after sitting down with sculptors for measurements in London. Madame Tussauds organizers said the Stefani was consistently one of the most requested wax figures that customers wanted to see. –Mark Gray

Madonna Happy to Let Daughter Lourdes Take the Lead in Material Girl Line

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

It was a night of lace tights, skirts, and mother-daughter bonding for Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon, 13, as they celebrated the launch of their Material Girl clothing line Wednesday night at Macy’s Herald Square in N.Y.C. Despite being a fashion icon, Madonna was content to take a backseat when it came to choosing the items for the Material Girl girl. “Lola did most of the work. I just kind of hung out in the background and went, ‘That’s nice,’ but she pretty much did all of the work. I was just overseeing it,” she said. But when your mom is Madonna and you’re creating a fashion line for teenage girls, it isn’t always that simple. “There are some definite pieces [inspired by my mom]. The tulle skirt because that’s like her thing—she made that. The necklaces, the gloves, the lace tights, the combat boots…that tough girly thing,” Lourdes told PEOPLE. As for the items in Mom’s closet that she covets most? “All of her shoes are ridiculous! I love to try on her [Christian] Louboutins,” she said. Also on hand for the celebration was Material Girl face Taylor Momsen. “It was such an honor to be chosen by Madonna and Lola. They’re such talented people and I’m just ecstatic,” gushed the Gossip Girl star. The night concluded with the three ladies gathering on the fourth floor of Macy’s, as dancers performed and a DJ spun many of Madonna’s songs. “Lola has been so inspiring and it’s been so great to watch her focus, her determination.” Madonna said. “I’ve achieved many things in my life, but I have to say watching my daughter make her dreams come true and achieve her goals is more exciting than anything I’ve ever done.”–Carlos Greer

Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress Turning Into Beef Jerky

Landov

One of the obvious problems with a dress made entirely out of meat is that it’s perishable. So, after Lady Gaga premiered her fleshy outfit at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards, fans had to wonder: What would become of the famous meaty fashion after the show? No, it wasn’t grilled up and served with a case of red wine. “The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of ‘jerky,’ ” the designer, Franc Fernandez, tells E! Online. But before you start salivating, be apprised that the jerky will not be available for tastings. It will be “archived” for posterity, Fernandez says, telling MTV Style that he bought 50 pounds of meat and designed the dress over three days, refrigerating it in between sessions. Over time, the metamorphosis into jerky is natural, he adds. “The meat dries out, rather than rotting,” he says. “But it shouldn’t be worn again.”And he’s not planning on designing another one. “There’s not going to be meat dresses in the future,” he says. “This was made for a specific purpose. It’s what it is.” –Tim Nudd

Whitney Port On Daytime Sequins and Other Fall Must-Haves

Courtesy eBay

When it comes to fashion, designer Whitney Port is something of an expert. And yesterday, the L.A. expat brought her style savvy to downtown N.Y.C. to help launch eBay LookBook, a shopable street-style website, and of course, share some of her must-have fall items. “It’s all kind of represented here,” she said of the glimmering racks hung with dress belts, jewelry and shoes–sourced on eBay by celeb stylist Annabel Tollman–that stylish passers-by were popping in to try on and be photographed in for the online look book. “I’m a sucker for leopard,” she continued, raving about a new pair of ankle booties in the print. “And also there’s a whole glam glitz section during the day. Sequins during the day I think is a fun work look as well.” And while Whitney still loves Los Angeles, when it comes to style, New York has won her heart. “I think it’s much more fashion-forward out here. I think people take a lot more pride in how they look and how much time they get ready and everything,” she told PEOPLE. Even if you weren’t lucky enough to be in New York for the launch event, you can take full advantage of the shoppable, user-generated style gallery by uploading a photo of yourself to eBayLookBook.com or catch Whitney and the eBay fashion team in Los Angeles on Sept. 29 where they will set up another street-style shop! –Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Kim Kardashian: ‘Botox Just Wasn’t Necessary’

Juan Rico/Fame

Kim Kardashian had a painful start to the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, enduring a bruised face as a result of a televised Botox procedure. After emails and comments flooded her blog, the 29-year-old reality star decided to come clean about the incident. “On the show you saw I had some bruising around my eyes after the procedure, which is totally natural, but because I hadn’t looked into the side effects, I freaked out,” she writes on her website. “In no way was Dr. Kassabian a bad doctor… it wasn’t a botched job at all!!” That doesn’t, however, mean that she’ll be trying it again anytime soon. “I am not against botox, and I would never judge anyone else for getting any kind of surgical or non surgical procedure, but I think when you’re young there are other ways you can look after your skin….Botox just wasn’t necessary for me at this age.” The star points to FusionBeauty’s Illumifill, a product that she represents as a spokesperson, as her go-to instead. Tell us: What do you think about Kim trying Botox while still in her 20s? –Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester
