Jessica Szohr Wants to Raid Jenny Humphrey’s Closet

Courtesy Nylon

Jessica Szohr may get to wear an amazing wardrobe as Gossip Girl‘s resident hipster Vanessa Abrams, but that doesn’t mean that her character’s taste lines up with her own. The Nylon cover girl dishes that it’s actually Little J’s closet that she wants to raid! “I personally think Jenny has the best wardrobe on the show – it’s kind of grungy, but girly, without being too put together,” she tells the publication. And as for the other characters on the show, including her own, Jessica explains, “Blair is too structured and perfect, Serena is always glammed up. Vanessa’s waaaay too much with every color and pattern.” But don’t get the 25-year-old wrong — she loves the wardrobe, even if she wouldn’t rock the looks herself. “It sounds like I’m being negative about them all, but I’m not — I think they all look great. But if I was going to go shopping for [me], I’d head straight into Jenny’s closet.” Be sure to see all the characters’ new looks when the show’s fourth season debuts on the CW on September 13, and read more from Jessica at nylonmag.com. –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Drew Barrymore’s Boho Chic London Tour!

Alpha/Landov; Splash News Online; James McCauley/Rex USA

While promoting her new film Going The Distance in the U.K., Drew Barrymore is skipping the glitz and glam for hippie-inspired hair and hemlines. On Thursday, the free-spirited star was seen trotting around London in a white floor-length dress toughened up with an All Saints leather jacket and biker-chic accessories. The next night, Drew took a ’70s-inspired approach, stepping out of her London hotel in shimmering skinny pants, a belly-baring fuzzy cape and platform pumps. And on Saturday, Drew took boho chic to new heights, posing at the V Festival in Staffordshire in a floppy hat, paired with a beaded-fringe top, slouchy olive green pants and brown leather boots. Although some of Drew’s looks may have left us a little dazed and confused, the funny lady can certainly pull them all off. Tell us: Is Drew Barrymore taking the the hippie chic trend too far? –Jessie Goldberg

The Secret of Audrina Patridge’s ‘Hills’ Wardrobe: Never Wear Anything Twice!

Kristian Dowling/PictureGroup

Ever wonder why the cast members of The Hills were always spotted shopping? It turns out that they had to keep re-stocking their wardrobes for filming! Audrina Patridge recently revealed to Britain’s Daily Mirror that the starlets of the former reality show were never allowed to repeat outfits on camera. “We were only allowed to wear things once for continuity,” said the stylish star. “They’d take a picture and then I’d never be able to wear that outfit again.” Her favorite one-time wear item? “The best things I wore on the series were a pair of thigh high Lanvin boots,” she said. But footwear isn’t her only designer indulgence. The reality starlet also bought a $5,000 Chanel surfboard! “I’m using it as decor in my bedroom until I get really good at surfing,” she explained. “It’s too pretty to risk chipping it.” And while Patridge established herself as a trendsetter on the show, she said her casual-chic aesthetic wasn’t planned. “I wasn’t trying to be a style icon,” she said. “I’d usually just throw on a T-shirt and jeans.” To hear more of Audrina’s interview, check out www.mirror.co.uk. –Mussarat Bata

EXCLUSIVE: The Madden Twins Reveal Their Favorite Fall Looks for the Ladies

Courtesy Macy’s

When it comes to fashion, Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden seem to have mastered the laidback rocker vibe, and with the launch of their new Mad Picks capsule collection, the musicians are suggesting that the ladies follow suit. Teaming with Macy’s private brand American Rag, the guys have handpicked items from the collection for a limited-edition collaboration–just in time for back-to-school shopping! The line features on-trend boho vests, torn denim, and embellished tops. “I don’t care how a girl dresses, nothing is sexier than a girl who is confident, feels good about herself, and does things her own way,” says Joel, who is engaged to style maven Nicole Richie. “I love it when a girl can take simple basic pieces and wear them with her own style.” When it comes to their own unique look, it’s all about clothes that can be dressed up or down. “We like a T-shirt you can throw a jacket over for dinner,” adds Joel. “It’s important for us to have clothes which we can both walk on stage or relax at home.” Starting September 11, the brothers will have a chance to flex their style muscle on stage, when they perform in a series of free concerts at select Macy’s stores, showcasing tunes from their new album Cardiology, due November 2. Mad Picks will launch at select Macy’s stores and on macys.com August 25! –Jessica Herndon and Jessie Goldberg
