Jessica Simpson Is Done Trying To Look Like ‘The Perfect Barbie Type’

Courtesy Lucky

Jessica Simpson‘s fluctuating weight never ceases to make headlines, but for once, the blonde bombshell isn’t giving it a second thought. Fresh off her globe-trotting journey for her VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty , Simpson has come to realize “we all obsess over looking like the perfect Barbie type, and that’s not always what’s beautiful. It’s about making peace with yourself.” Now, the Lucky September cover girl has finally come to terms with her own body issues and is embracing her curvy hourglass figure. And for Simpson, that means learning how to dress for her body. Simpson dishes, “I’m a huge Jean Paul Gaultier fan. His pieces make my waist look good. Yes, they’re an investment, but I’ll have them when I’m old and gray.” On a more casual note, Jessica relies on Tucker’s blousy, long-sleeved silk tops. “Whenever I wear them, I make sure to show off my legs a little bit!” Her bottoms of choice? “I like skinny jeans, but I wear them a bit baggy and lower on my hips and roll them up at the bottom,” reveals the beauty. And of course, her favorite pairs are from her new denim line–which she donned for her cover shoot! Jane Lynch: It’s ‘Strange & Eerie’ to See Myself as a Wax Figure

Tammie Arroyo/AFF-USA

Jane Lynch has a clone. The Glee star, 50, was joined by her new wife Dr. Lara Embry, a real-life high school Glee club, and more than 100 screaming fans Wednesday morning when her wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds on Hollywood Blvd. Following opening remarks by Ian Brennan, the co-creator of the hit Fox show, Lynch walked out beside her statue, modeled after her character Sue Sylvester, and told the crowd, “Holy crap—unbelievable. This is too much. This is too weird. I feel like I’m seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!” Lynch tells PEOPLE the whole experience is “strange and eerie,” adding, “it looks just like me.” But the cloning process was not so simple. “It took four hours,” Lynch said. “They took the measurements of my face and my body, and they put dots all over. There was a contraption that measured from here to here, to here, to here, to here for four hours.”–Dahvi Shira

Mary-Kate Olsen Is Happy with Fashion as Her ‘Day Job’

Courtesy Marie Claire

Mary-Kate Olsen may have grown up in front of the cameras alongside twin sister Ashley, but these days the former Full House star is more likely to be found immersed in fashion sketches than television roles. Since founding three successful and incredibly chic clothing lines with Ashley—including The Row, the lower-priced Olsenboye collection for JCPenney as well as Elizabeth and James—the September Marie Claire cover girl considers herself more of a designer than anything else. “I still read scripts, and if something great comes along, that’s great…but this is my day job. The Row is where I go every day,” she tells the magazine. The 24-year-old finds herself probably best known these days for her unexpected and always unique sense of style, which is as likely to land her on certain best dressed lists as other worst dressed lists. And while the actress is grateful for the opportunities her on screen childhood afforded her, it seems she wouldn’t trade her current situation for anything. “I look at old photos of me, and I don’t feel connected to them at all…I would never wish my upbringing upon anyone.” For more on Mary-Kate, check out marieclaire.com or pick up the latest issue on newsstands August 10. –Jessie Goldberg

Megan Fox Named Face Of Armani Cosmetics

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

As if having a nearly-nude Megan Fox sizzle in their underwear ads isn’t enough, Giorgio Armani has now tapped the stunning star as the face of their cosmetics campaign. Fox, who also wore Armani to her recent Hawaiian nuptials with Brian Austin Green, will begin appearing in advertising for the brand as soon as October, reports WWD. “Mr. Armani is an iconic visionary for all things fashion,” Fox tells the publication. “I’m honored to be associated with him and part of this campaign.” And it seems that the feeling is mutual. A spokesperson for the designer tells WWD Mr. Armani chose the sultry actress because “[Megan] embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength.” We can’t wait to see Megan’s latest campaign for Armani! Tell us: What do you think of Megan Fox’s new role as face of Armani Cosmetics?Andrea DeSimone

Sara Rue’s Body Transformation: ‘I Lost 50 Pounds!’

Alison Dyer

If you see Sara Rue on the street, chances are she’ll be smiling. That’s because the actress has lost 50 pounds since signing on as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig last December. “I have such a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had in my life,” Rue, 31, tells PEOPLE. “I’ve learned how to control portions, I’ve learned how to eat healthfully.” Best of all, she is enjoying exercise for the first time in her life. Rue, who used to just walk the dogs around the block, now regularly logs 45-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week on the treadmill and is in training for her first half marathon. But her eight-month journey was not without its fair share of obstacles. “I spent the first few months of this program wearing my pedometer and getting in my 10,000 steps every day,” Rue says. “When I started running I would run for one minute and walk for ten. Now I can run for two-and-a-half hours straight. That’s insane! I never would have thought six months ago that I would be able to run that much.” Nor did she think she’d be enjoying another activity—shopping. “Barely squeezing into a size 14 when she embarked upon her weight loss journey, the 5’8” Rue is now a lean “size 6.” Busy planning a Spring 2011 wedding with her fiancé, teacher Kevin Price, Rue recently popped into Vera Wang in Beverly Hills to check out a 70 percent off sale. “I wandered to the back of the store where all the bride gowns were. The woman zipped it up and she had to clamp it in the back because it was too big,” Rue says, laughing. “It was just a great feeling.” –Monica Rizzo

Hillary Clinton’s MOTB Moment: ‘Stunning–Like a Princess’

Barbara Kinney

Chelsea Clinton dazzled the world with her exquisite Vera Wang wedding gown (one of two from the night) at her fairytale wedding in Rhinebeck, NY on Saturday night, and her mother, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, followed her lead and upped the glam ante as well. Not only did she wow at Chelsea’s Friday night rehearsal dinner in a vivid caftan, but she looked exceptional at the wedding itself in a custom fuchsia floral gown by long-time friend Oscar de la Renta. A guest at the wedding said of Hillary’s entrance into the ceremony, “when she walked down the aisle, it took your breath away. She looked stunning–like a princess. She was beaming.” Her radiant smile was not only for her beautiful dress — a friend of the Secretary reported that “she was so thrilled and over the moon about [the dress]” — but also for her role as mother of the bride. Her joy in being with her daughter and mother is evident as the three generations pose for this wedding photo. Another friend of the Clintons explains, “It was so important to Hillary to share her daughter’s day with her own mother. When the three of them are together Hillary isn’t the Secretary or the Senator or the celebrity — she is her mother’s daughter’s and her daughter’s mother.” Read all about Chelsea’s wedding in this week’s copy of PEOPLE, on newsstands tomorrow. –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg; reporting by Sandra Sobieraj Westfall
