Kristin Bauer Stays Hungry to Fit in ‘True Blood’ Wardrobe

Splash News Online, Gregg DeGuire/Fox/PictureGroup

Rocking a latex dress is no easy task. Rocking a latex dress on TV, where the camera adds an extra 10 lbs., requires sacrifice. “The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business, I’m going to be hungry,” True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer tells Popeater about her strategy to looking fang-tastic. Since joining the cast of HBO’s hit series last season as the figure-flaunting Pam, Bauer, who once played Jerry’s man-handed date on Seinfield, has stepped up her diet and exercise regimen to accommodate the form-fitting and body-flaunting costumes of Eric Northman’s (Alexander Skarsgard) sexy sidekick. “During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to ab classes more regularly.” As part of a show known as much for its chiseled physiques as its skin-piercing fangs, the vegetarian acknowledges to Movieline that her costars are “all working out like crazy and have diets,” which for the ladies includes avoiding carbs onset. “All the women walk by Craft services and keep going. I don’t even know why we walk by, we’re just torturing ourselves.” And while she’s in tiptop form, Bauer says she’s still motivated to sweat a little more: “After any wardrobe fitting, I hit the gym three times more than the week before.” – Christie LaRusso

Did Emma Watson Cut Her Hair to Play ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’?

Flynet

Emma Watson may have credited her dramatic new pixie cut to the end of the Harry Potter series, but now it seems that her freshly shaven do might in fact be for a new movie role. According to British paper The Sun, Watson is up for the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in the much-anticipated movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, based on the best-selling novel by Stieg Larsson. And while Emma’s Harry Potter character, Hermione Granger, was a girly wizard with wavy chestnut locks, Lisbeth Salander is a troubled computer hacker with spiky hair and tattoos. Watson’s role in the new flick has yet to be confirmed, but she certainly has some stiff competition: Kristen Stewart, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johansson and Zoe Saldana have all also expressed interest in the part—as well as a potential unknown. Whether Watson lands the gig or not, we think she can certainly pull off this chic gamine style. We can’t help but wonder who will be the next to shave it all off for this role! Tell us: Do you think Emma Watson’s should be The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? Vote below!

Kristen Bell: ‘I’m Over Being Blonde!’

Splash News Online

Kristen Bell might be rethinking her blonde bombshell status. For her role in the upcoming movie musical Burlesque–also starring Christina Aguilera and Cher—the California girl covered up her golden locks with a brunette wig. “When I had the wig on I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror. I felt like another person,” Bell tells Instyle.com. And for the usually sunny-haired star, the temporary change might be something she is considering for good. “Now I’m over being blonde. If I’m well received as a brunette in Burlesque then maybe I’ll go brunette in [real life]!” While we are used to Kristen as a blonde, we love the chocolate brown hair against her fair skin and sparkling blue eyes, and think she should try it out for real. Tell us: Should Kristen Bell go brunette in real life or should she stick to blonde? Andrea DeSimone

Lady Gaga Strips Down for Lollapalooza Crowd Surfing

Roger Kisby/Getty

From her over-the-top head pieces to her signature no-pants look, Lady Gaga is never one to shy from pushing the fashion envelope, and this weekend was no exception. Fresh off her 13 VMA nominations, the statement-making star stripped down to little more than torn black fishnets and gold star pasties underneath a jewel-encrusted vest, before making an earlier-than-expected appearance at Chicago’s Lollapalooza music festival Friday. Draping her neck and wrist in diamonds, Gaga accessorized with red lipstick, black spiked boots and gold sunglasses to make a surprise stage appearance during the Semi Precious Weapons concert on Friday. The eccentric rocker’s stage departure was as unexpected as her arrival: After appearing on stage with the band’s drummer, she crowd-surfed alongside lead singer Justin Tranter, whom she also kissed! The star went on to perform later that night wearing a vinyl disco bra and a thong, screaming, “You remember that you were born a superstar! You were born that way!” Tell Us: What do you think about Lady Gaga’s barely-there style?Jessie Goldberg
