Who Wears a Pink Blazer Better: Rihanna or Chuck Bass?

Ramey; Fame

Rihanna is as known for her edgy and tough rocker style as Chuck Bass, played by Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl, is known for his love of preppy pastels and smoking jackets. So who knew that such disparate fashion plates could find common ground in a light pink blazer? We spotted Rihanna in her take on the look yesterday, pairing her boyfriend blazer with frayed denim cut-offs and a sheer striped shirt. No such downtown touches for the ultimate uptown peacock Bass, as he strutted onto the Gossip Girl set in Manhattan this morning in his salmon sport coat paired with crisp navy trousers. While undoubtedly the two jackets hail from different designers, we couldn’t help but compare the two. Break the tie! Tell us: Who wears a pink blazer better? –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

From booty-shaking songstress to hip-hop wife to red carpet star, Beyoncé has always been one chic style chameleon. And now the star is putting her fashion range to the test in two very sexy ad campaigns for her high-end dress collection, House of Deréon, and hip sportswear range, Deréon, which she co-designs with mom Tina Knowles. “These two campaigns feature Beyoncé, but that is where the similarity ends,” says Tina. “They are so different in mood and creative direction reflecting the distinction between the two brands.” Inspired by Hollywood photography of the ’30s and ’40s, the House of Deréon campaign features Beyoncé as a glamorous screen siren, while Deréon’s fall/holiday 2010 campaign captures the singer in a “1960′s pin-up girl meets futuristic biker chick” themed shot—complete with a blond beehive, inked skin and sleek motorcycle. Both campaigns, shot by celebrity photographer Tony Duran, will launch in September issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines as well as in-store and online. Paris Hilton Sued for Wearing the Wrong Hair Extensions

Michael Buckner/Getty

Talk about a bad hair day. Paris Hilton was hit with a $35 million lawsuit on Wednesday by a hair-extensions company that claims she breached her contract with them by wearing a competitor’s fake locks. The company, Hairtech International Inc., which manufactured the Dreamcatchers hair extension line that Paris fronted beginning in 2007, is seeking damages of 10 times what Hilton was reportedly paid under the contract. In addition to sporting a rival product in 2008, Hairtech claims Hilton missed a launch party for a new product in 2007 because she was in jail.  Hilton, 29, so far hasn’t commented on the suit, but attorneys provided the following statement:”There is no merit whatsoever to any of these claims. We will pursue all of our defenses vigorously and any potential counter claims.”–Tim Nudd

VIDEO: Watch Sienna Miller Get Playful with Her Fall Designs

Sisters and design partners Sienna and Savannah Miller are mixing film and fashion to show off the fall/winter 2010 collection for their Twenty8Twelve line. In a playful film directed by Angelo Pennetta, Sienna and model Sara Blomqvist play dress up with the label’s new styles on location at the Hilles–the Gloucestershire, England home of the late Isabella Blow. “We wanted to capture our new season on film to get a real feel for the collection and Hilles provided the perfect backdrop for us,” Sienna tells British Vogue. “The rich tapestries, velvets and eclectic style of the house completely reflect the elements of our autumn/winter collection. I loved filming in every room.” And Sienna and Savannah aren’t the only designers who have found inspiration at this legendary home–the late Alexander McQueen was also known to get into creative mode there. From chunky furs and skinny denim to sexy cocktail dresses and crochet sweaters, the Miller sisters are showing just how fun fashion can be this season. See more of the collection at twenty8twelve.com.–Andrea DeSimone
