Christina Hendricks’ Mad Men character, Joan Harris, brings sass and seduction to the AMC hit show, and now the sultry red-head is lending her sex appeal to London Fog. Following in the stylish footsteps of Gisele Bundchen and Eva Longoria Parker, Christina will star in the label’s fall 2010 ad campaign. “London Fog is a classic brand, which I love. It also ties into Mad Men, we used London Fog in the show and this was a nice way to tie everything together,” the Emmy-nominated actress says of the outerwear label. “The trench is such an iconic shape for men and women. It works for anyone – it worked in the 1960s and it works now.” And it was Christina’s own timeless glamour and sophistication that landed her the role, according to the label. “Christina has a modern appeal but also harks back to a bygone era,” adds the brand’s chief marketing officer, Dari Marder. Shot by Nino Muñoz, the elegant black-and-white ads feature Hendricks posing seductively in London Fog coats and accessories, and are set to debut in October fashion and lifestyle magazines as well as outdoor and online. I do hope that she is able to improve what people consider beauty…fashion will likely still push the bony women…but if people in the ‘real world’ have someone like this with lots of positive notoriety…great for little girls who aren’t rail thin! Gorogeous and real looking…

Tom you are SO right!

She is beautiful but I like to believe she represents beauty at every size, rather than telling me I have to look like her. I am a petite woman who will always be small in stature and in shape. These people who insist there is something wrong with me because I will never be a DD cup are just as bad for a young woman’s psyche as telling them they all need to be skinny. It’s still an image few women can live up to.

She’s tops, and they make a good product besides.

I think Christina Hendricks is absolutely beautiful! She represents the modern woman, someone who is driven in her career but is not afraid to be beautiful and sexy!

I do want to say though, that while I am all for full body enpowerment, I think we need to realize that people like Kate Moss and Gisele are REAL women too! I myself am a beautiful curvy size 6, I have italian boobs and thighs for days and am proud of my body. My best friend Jennie though is naturally a size 00, she is beautiful and slender and eats like a horse. That is just her natural size.

We need to celebrate ALL women – whether you are a size 8, size 2 or a size 6!

LOL……love the comment from the woman who says that Hendricks is bringing curvy back and making size 14 women feel good about themselves!!!!!!!! Let’s be honest here…….Christina Hendricks is most likely a size 4 or 6! Look at her thin arms, small waist and lean frame! She has BIG BOOBS people! That does not mean she is a size 12 or 14. In Hollywood women are expected to stay slim and in shape to get the roles that they desire. BTW, the camera adds 10 lbs. to a person’s frame – Hendricks is by no means underweight or unhealthy looking but she is most likely very tiny in person! She is blessed with a lovely face, fine figure and healthy body…..yes, and large breasts! But, she is a small size…..make no mistake about that! And Giselle and Kate Moss are small to…..but have different body types – more athletic and lean. Equally as beautiful – let’s not forget women come in all shapes and sizes!

Does it look like they shrunk her waist and hips in the top ad?
