Anna Paquin’s Wedding Jewelry Revealed

When Anna Paquin married her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer on Saturday night, her wedding jewelry was true glam. “She wanted something with a vintage-inspired, romantic vibe,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who provided Paquin with a stunning necklace–complete with a whopping 50 carats of round diamonds!–set in darkened metal for a patina vintage style. To balance out the dramatic look, Paquin, 28, wore a white halterneck gown and donned an elegant pair of diamond studs, also from Lane. The other lucky recipient of the jeweler’s sparkly bling? Paquin’s mom, who opted for a bracelet and earrings. The couple solidified their union with platinum wedding bands, designed by Cathy Waterman. –Elizabeth Leonard

I think Neil Lane just “loans” big ticket items out for special occasions. How NL is compensated, I really don’t know, but I’ve rarely heard of the celebrity actually purchasing the piece.

Is it true that Anna’s engagement ring is made of fine silver and a rustic diamond? I like the vintage look, but I personally wouldn’t like a ring made of silver because of tarnishing.

I’m all for the glamour and beauty of weddings, but it seems that celebrities weddings are all based on “money, money,money” and not anything else. Yes the love is there, but why spend such huge amounts of money on one day. It’s about the marriage.
