The Scoop on Megan Fox’s Armani Prive Wedding Gown

Courtesy Giorgio Armani

Megan Fox may have snuck to Hawaii for her June 24 wedding to Brian Austin Green, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to come prepared with a fabulous wedding gown. “As beautiful as she is, she didn’t need anything extravagant like million dollar diamonds or lots of flowers. She just wanted a simple wedding gown,” says a source. Giorgio Armani came to the rescue with a silk georgette strapless corset gown, including a 16-foot train. “It was not the most extravagant dress but it was perfect on her body,” says the source — even if she did have trouble managing the long train. “It was was so big, she couldn’t keep it off the ground,” says the source. Instead, the bride gave up, “and just ran through the sand to the altar,” the source adds. “They were on a high. She wasn’t going to worry about the small things.” Read more about Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green’s wedding in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now. –Charlotte Triggs

Vanessa Paradis’s Favorite Pair of Shoes: Marilyn Monroe’s Ferragamos

Courtesy Marie Claire Magazine

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, Marilyn Monroe famously crooned — but for singer Vanessa Paradis, 37, the best gift of all turns out to be shoes — worn by the famous blonde herself! Turns out that Paradis’s partner Johnny Depp bought her a pair of Ferragamo-designed shoes that once belonged to Monroe. “He spoils me. He actually bought me the Marilyn Monroe shoes,” she tells the the U.K edition of Marie Clairein its August issue, when asked if Depp, 47, has ever treated her to clothes. Monroe is an icon for the French actress, who lives with Depp and their two children, Lily-Rose, 11, and Jack, 8, in southern France and first found fame as a pop star at age 14. She tells the magazine, “Monroe’s someone who touches me really deeply. I truly admire both actress and the singer that she was. I love Lazy and so many of her songs. She had a velvety voice.” Unfortunately, the actress and Chanel model is more dumbstruck when she has to talk about her look in three words. “Three words–im,poss, ible’ she responds. –Simon Perry

The Emmy-nominated actress donned an elegant long-sleeved shift in signature Valentino red from the fall/winter 10/11 collection to watch the haute couture show with fashionable pals Jessica Alba and model Natalia Vodianova. Later that night, the stylish star dressed up her look for the extravagant dinner hosted by the famed designer himself in Versailles in a long, strapless, neon-tiered Valentino Haute Couture dress from the spring/summer 2010 collection. While it’s tough for this style star to go wrong, we can’t decide which look suits Claire better. Tell us: Which of Claire Danes’s Valentino looks do you prefer? Vote! –Gillian Koenig
