She may not still be rocking her custom Monique Lhuiller gown, but there was no mistaking Carrie Underwood’s honeymoon glow as she hit the Today show stage Friday morning to not only perform hits like “Undo It” and “Cowboy Casanova”, but also flaunt her sparkling new wedding band. After tying the knot with hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, in a Southern style wedding earlier this month, Underwood has swapped a diamond band by jeweler Jonathon Arndt for the yellow diamond engagement ring he had also designed for her. So how’s married life treating the country queen? “It’s a lot like dating life,” she said, which includes continuing their long distance relationship with hockey player husband Fisher in Canada, where he plays for the Ottawa Senators. “It’s good,” she says. “We’re both very busy people and understand each other’s life, so we’re okay with it.” –– Alison Schwartz

The People mag. wedding pictures were disappointing. Her dress was so NOT pretty. She’s just a greedy stuck up witch now.

She is quite simply…..beautiful inside and out!

AMEN – AMEN – AMEN Independent Woman. They have already been doing it for the last two years and Carrie herself said that they spend more time together than people think. I didnt even know she was dating anyone until she shouted out “I love you Mike” at an award show so they have managed to keep it low key so far. So let’s wish them all the happiness in the world and not doom this marriage before it even starts.

Is it really necessary to make comments like this. I thought her wedding gown was gorgeous on her – it may not be for everyone but she looked beautiful.

Maybe you wanna tune into Chelsea Clinton’s wedding this weekend where there will be 500 of their closest friends and lots of pomp and ceremony to the tune of in excess of 2 million dollars. And people knocked Carrie for having one costing 500,000. Tune into that one and maybe it will meet your approval.

What BS, Frances. “Strong family touches,” lol. I suppose weddings that take place out of the south have NONE of the qualities you described…

A long-distance marriage?

AJR on

Good luck with that…

If long distance romance has such a bleak outlook, it must really upset all the spouses in the armed forces when duty calls. If there is any depth to a relationship, spending time apart will not make it just fall apart. If getting married is just all about the wedding & sex, then plan to find yourself in lot’s of trouble. I wish all the best to Mark & Carrie, they seem like a very grounded, loving couple.
