EXCLUSIVE: Watch Taylor Momsen Get Styled by Madonna and Lourdes for Material Girl Ads

How often does the most anticipated launch of the season happen to feature pieces that cost less than $20? Material Girl is not only designed by Madonna and teen daughter Lourdes but is also fronted by Gossip Girl star and budding rocker Taylor Momsen — and did we mention how affordable the fashion is? With the days counting down until next week’s launch, the stylish trio is taking you behind the scenes of the rock star-worthy ad campaign, set to bow in September magazines as well as online and in-store. So what, exactly, was it like for Momsen to represent a Material Girl? “For one, it’s Madonna so you know it’s gonna be cool and working with Madonna and Lola has been an unbelievable experience,” dishes Taylor, whose rocker-chic style was a perfect fit for the on-trend juniors’ collection of skinny jeans, flirty minidresses and more. And note: the star mother-daughter duo didn’t just design the collection — they were more than hands-on styling the shoot. As for Lola, I predict that she is going to grow up to be a MAJOR princess and brat. At 13, she should be playing outside, reading, and playing with friends.

Jennifer is obviously showing her jealous side.

What Lola is doing is great. Instead of using her mother’s star power to be another wannabe model, actress, or singer, she’s instead starting out young as a business girl. I think its great and her designs are really cute. I can’t wait to see them.

Lola seems very sweet to me, so I don’t know why anyone thinks she is brat? Can’t a person be born into money and fame and still be a nice person? And as for being a kid, what she is doing is just a different version of playing with dolls and playing dress up. We have to stop defining what being a good parent is or what a healthy childhood is. I know plenty of people who look great on paper but I doubt they spend the quality time with the kids that Madonna is able to spend with hers – different lifestyles doesn’t mean worse – or better for that matter. I look forward to watching Lola grow up – she is interesting.
