WATCH: The ‘Glee’ Kids Go ’60s Glam for the Season Finale

They’ve already been in “Vogue” with Madonna and kept a “Poker Face” while dressed in homage to Lady Gaga, and now, the Glee kids are going retro, turning to the ’60s for style inspiration in tonight’s season finale. “[The girls in] New Directions wear retro-style gold brocade dresses by Betsey Johnson with ’60s-inspired hair and makeup, in a nod to the ’60s girl groups. The guys wear color-coordinated shirts and ties,” the show’s costumer Lou Eyrich told InStyle.com of tonight’s episode, which promises to be as much a competition in style as in song. And as McKinley High’s singers go head-to-head with their show-choir rivals in the hotly anticipated Regionals competition tonight, what will the members of Vocal Adrenaline be donning? “Very flashy and bold fuchsia-and black-sequined dresses, which really pick up the light when they dance,” Eyrich tells InStyle.com. To see whether our favorite glee-clubbers’ retro-chic looks–on display in this clip of Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and the rest of the gang belting out their rendition of Journey’s “Faithfully”–stand up to Vocal Adrenaline’s outfits, check out the season finale of Glee tonight on Fox at 9/8c. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

Sarah Jessica Parker Pays Tribute to McQueen at CFDA Awards

    Demis Maryannakis/Splash News Online

After honoring Alexander McQueen at last month’s British premiere of Sex and the City 2, Sarah Jessica Parker introduced a posthumous Special Board of Directors Tribute to the late designer at last night’s 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards at New York’s Lincoln Center. On-stage, Parker said of the late designer, whose work was displayed in an elaborate retrospective, “It was a privilege for all of us to know your work and you. You will be indescribably missed.” Dressed in a sweeping, McQueen gown with a colorful print and accessorized with 19th century antique earrings and bracelets from Madison Avenue jeweler Stephen Russell’s vintage collection, the actress told PEOPLE, “This is what Sarah Burton [who has replaced her former boss McQueen as designer at the label] asked me to wear. We met in London, we talked, worked a little bit here and there in a fitting. It fit fairly well right away, and I was happy to oblige.” And were Parker’s young twins present when she was getting dressed that evening? “Yes, they were!” answered the star, who recently returned from Japan. “They just sat on my lap. They were so sweet while I was getting ready. And I think it’s because they were happy I was home, if I might be so bold.” –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley; reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

J-Woww Busts Out Her New Clothing Line Filthy Couture

    Kyle Rover/Startraks

At Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards, Jenni “J-Woww” Farley wasn’t shy about showcasing her latest project, clothing line Filthy Couture. The Jersey Shore star stepped onto the red carpet rocking a lacy pink minidress from the new collection, telling PEOPLE of the revealing plunge-front look, “The dress has a thousand Swarovski crystals.” The style even prompted co-star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who was moonlighting as a red carpet correspondent for the event, to comment on-camera: “Your boobs look phenomenal tonight.” Farley describes her personal style as “sexy gothic,” a look that will anchor Filthy Couture, which is set to debut this July on the heels of her line of made-to-order tops. “I’m more like rocker-edgy, but very sexy,” she said. “Definitely all my dresses and bathing suits and my jeans and shirts will be like that.” And is there such thing as too risqué for the 21-year-old “guidette”? Said J-Woww, “I keep it sexy classy. I won’t go to porn star sexy. I won’t go that far.” For more info on Filthy Couture, visit jwoww.com. Michael Kors on Date Gwyneth Paltrow: “More and More Beautiful”

    Ariel Ramerez/Landov

Michael Kors may have received the Lifetime Achievement Award last night at the CFDA Awards at New York City’s Lincoln Center, but he created the most buzz in the room with his date for the evening — a dazzling Gwyneth Paltrow clad in a sparkling one-shoulder black dress with sexy geometric cut outs made just for her. “Yes, we custom made the dress for Gwyneth tonight. One fitting,” Kors told PEOPLE. “My favorite thing is a woman who knows what works for her. Comfortable in her own skin. She wanted to be glamorous and comfortable.” And Paltrow looked not just comfy, but like she was having a great time as she ordered herself a martini with three olives at the bar. “I’ve known Gwyneth for a long time,” Kors told PEOPLE backstage after accepting his award. “She gets more and more beautiful. She’s a woman who can juggle everything and do it all beautifully, perform onstage and screen, a great mom, great wife, great business woman.. .. and she’s curious.” And did we mention glamorous in that gown? – Melissa Liebling-Goldberg; Reporting by Jeffrey Slonim
