With a lifestyle brand in the works, a new season of Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project premiering on August 3, and another round of her affordable fashion line for QVC debuting today, Rachel Zoe is showing no signs of slowing down. “There is not a single part of my career that I do not LOVE, but I am finding myself increasingly more eager about the designing aspect,” writes the stylist-to-the-stars in her daily newsletter, The Zoe Report, dishing on her latest batch of clothing and accessories for QVC.  “I have no choice but to gush with pride over my finished Summer Collection. There is something (make that many somethings) to take every outfit to the next level.” Namely, affordably priced pieces like a white leather hobo bag with chain straps ($140), a sheer floor-length caftan ($64) and QVC’s “Today’s Special Value,” a crystal-accented leaf bangle ($70)–which Zoe calls out as her “personal fave.” To hear more from Rachel and to shop the collection, tune in to QVC today at 3PM and 6PM EST or check out QVC.com. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

Maybe this stuff appeals to the masses and she sells a ton on QVC…but I am not impressed. Rachel has such a unique and distinctive style that is clearly not shown in these lackluster pieces. I might consider purchasing something if it looked like a piece that Rachel would actually wear…not seeing that here. Better luck next time. Pretty disappointing :(

OK, please tell me how this qualifies as “affordable”? I’m sorry, but I’m NOT going to spend $70 on a bangle, and $140 for a hobo bag is definitely not in my budget.
