Miley Cyrus's Stylist Dishes on Her Racy 'Can't Be Tamed' Album Cover

Miley Cyrus debuted her sexier side last month in the steamy music video for “Can’t Be Tamed” and now, with the release of her album Monday, she is officially making the move from teen queen to rock star. So what’s the inspiration for the new look? “Miley’s style is a natural progression of her growing up and being influenced by the music that inspires her,” the singer’s stylist, Simone Harouche, tells PEOPLE, citing rock legends Joan Jett and Blondie. “The album cover was basically a strong statement saying in the most simple way, that she can’t be tamed–literally and metaphorically,” explains Harouche. To achieve Miley’s rebellious new look, Harouche turned to designer denim brand, Robins Jeans. “[Miley] is really into leather,” says Harouche. “Robins Jeans leather jacket is such a cool staple piece: It’s embellished without being overly done and the fit is amazing. It’s the perfect example of rock ’n’ roll clothing.” Pairing the studded jacket with a laced-up crop top and low-rise leather leggings from the brand, Miley looks every bit the good girl-gone-bad.Tell us: What are your thoughts on Miley’s tough new image?Andrea DeSimone

This child is really headed for Lohan Land. Sad to see what these parents let these kids do for the sake of making them money.

Not racy. Not interesting. Not even original.

Dru on

She looks great! What is wrong with the way she dresses seriously….If that is the way she wants to dress then so be it..lay off!! Never really listened to her music or was interested in her but I think people bashing her for the way she dresses is something I had to comment on because I think she looks FAB!

SAy what you will – I know when I was 17 I would have LOVED to rock a cool outfit like this (let alone have the body to do it!!) YEah, maybe I never did because my parents would sooner lock me in my room, but she is certainly not living a typical 17 year old’s life and whatever, I bet she was way excited when she saw how cool this came out… just cause she looks hot and has a thing for leather doesn’t spell train wreck ala Lohan down the road for her.

c’mon! this isn’t bad. She looks fine. She’s not a baby, and if you’re worried your tweens are going to mimic her then don’t let them see her. She’s a famous singer AND its an album cover! and its a free country. Why all the drama.

She is still a child who is trying to grow up way to fast! She needs to slow down and enjoying childhood as once you grow up, you can never go back. It is sad to see someone who was an idol to young girls flaunt this “sexy” look at such a young age.

Marie on

She’s trying to copy Britney Spears from 10 years ago.
