While many girls dream about looking like royalty on their wedding day, Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria, who married her beau Daniel Westling in Stockholm on Saturday, embodied the fantasy, donning three equally stunning looks during the weekend-long celebration. The princess kicked off the wedding reception Friday with the first of two custom Elie Saab Couture looks–a high-necked, cap-sleeve pale-pink cocktail dress embellished with a spray of appliqué clusters, which she paired with flirty gold pumps. Later that evening at a concert gala, she literally dazzled in her second Elie Saab creation–a sweeping, hand-embroidered asymmetrical nude gown adorned with delicate pearls and floral appliqués. Finally, for her wedding at Stockholm Cathedral, the elegant brunette looked fittingly regal, dressed in a custom-made ivory silk off-the-shoulder gown by Swedish designer Par Engsheden, according to InStyle.com, and custom Roger Vivier silk satin pumps with rhinestone buckles. For a finishing touch, the princess topped off the elegant look with the ultimate fairy-tale princess accessory: A towering cameo-bedecked tiara worn by her mother to her 1976 wedding.–Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

She certainly is beautiful and looked lovely and classic. That said, the wedding gown itself – eh. Little boring for my taste. I’d have like to see a little embellishment. For an unembellished dress, I prefer a more flowing and natural fabric. The firm silk with a full bottom – eh, it needed some embellishment. Some lace, something.

I LOVED THIS WEDDING!! I was on pins & needles during the 14 month engagement & I wasnt disappointed. My youtube list is full of videos from it!

One thing though, I LOVED Victoria’s wedding gown. Alot of people were “complaining” it lacked the glitz of a Princess. I think it totally matched Victoria & it was elegant. Sometimes less is more. I didnt envision her covered in crystal & diamonds from the beginning. All that mattered was getting her man. Victoria is gorgeous & she & Daniel are so it love, it made me cry watching their wedding. Did anyone here Daniel’s speech?! I BAWLED!!

I don’t think the people cared before about this “princess”.

Swedish princess fashion taking up space here? How odd.

I mean – anyone remember the last time we heard anything about Sweden? Or cared about their “royalty”.

Slowwww news day, PEOPLE? Really…..

Beautiful Princess and three beautiful dresses..I think the beauty of the Princess was all of the embellishment the dress needed..

Fabulous dresses, and the wedding dress needs no embellishments that would clash with that beautiful tiara.

Wow @Rosie, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? If you paid attention to humanitarian affairs or the rights of women, you would hear about Sweden often. Or music, seeing as a Swede produces over half of the most popular music played on the radio.

And the Princess’ fashion was lovely. I wish her the best. It doesn’t necessarily mean a “slow news day” to celebrate someone’s happiness.
