Would You Wear A Front-Bun Like Diane Kruger and Marion Cotillard?

Giancarlo Gorassini/Abaca; INF

Lately, Hollywood beauties seem to have a case of the migrating chignon. At some point, the neat, low-slung ballet bun gave way to a messier topknot, which, in turn, evolved into a loose twist just above the forehead. A-listers Diane Kruger and Marion Cotillard both showed off the look during the high-glamour 2010 Cannes Film Festival, demonstrating just how this vaguely rockabilly style can telegraph red carpet polish. We’re all for experimenting with new hairstyles, but we’re still on the fence about this alterna-chignon. Is it a fresh take on a classic style? Or a fussy, overdone look? Tell us: Would you wear a front-bun?

Yes, I’d definitely try out this look. It’s an modern take on the ancient oh-so-boring bun.

NO! It looks like a five yr old playing at Mommy’s vanity! This is a look that no one will want to look back on. How many of those have there been through the years? Do we really need to add another fashion disaster to the history books?

No, with a round face like mine I think it would just make it look that much rounder.

I think the front bun looks messy and is not as chic as a pulled-back bun.

Not on your life! It looks like their smuggling in keys to a secret passageway. It reminds me of a villain from a James Bond movie.

Absolutely! I’m excited to try it! So old fashioned and yet modern at the same time! It’s like an edgy, classy look…. Definitely looks tricky though to do just right to pull it off….

Amazing movie. The crowd at IMAX was silent the triene movie. It was so nice to see everyone in awe and to see the appreciation they had for its brilliance. The last hour of this movie IMO, ranks up there with some of the bet movies in history. It was brilliantly acted and directed, and the score was flawless. And whoever edited the this move was a genius. The last hour was edited better than any movie that I have ever seen. It left a lasting impression on me that I am still thinking about.
