30 Lbs. Lighter, Jason Alexander is Spandex-Ready in New Jenny Craig Ad

Comedian Jason Alexander unveils his new slimmed-down figure with classic self-deprecating hilarity in a new Jenny Craig commercial, airing today. “Take a look, drink it in,” he sings while clad in a skin-tight outfit. “I was fat, now I’m thin!” The actor, who signed on as a spokesman for the weight loss program in January, has since shaved off 30 lbs. from his starting weight of 198 lbs. Best known for his role as the portly George Costanza on Seinfeld, the Broadway vet, 50, came up with a his own twist to the “Full Monty” concept for the ad’s big song-and-dance reveal. “He gives me a good show,” said friend and fellow Jenny Craig spokeperson, Valerie Bertinelli, who showed off her own bikini body on the cover of PEOPLE a year ago. Appearing side-by-side with Alexander in the commercial, she says, “I was losing my voice because I was having so much fun!” –Thailan Pham

Kelly Osbourne’s Weight-Loss Win: “I Never Thought I’d Wear a Dress Like This”

Marion Curtis/Startraks

Showing up the body bullies who have railed against her curves in the blogosphere, Kelly Osbourne is now in the shape of her life–and reaping the high-fashion rewards of a sweat-till-you-drop gym regimen. “I never thought I’d wear a dress like this,” the Dancing With the Stars alum admitted to PEOPLE of the Matthew Williamson stunner she picked out for last Thursday’s Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Pop Up event in New York City, hosted by the designer to celebrate the limited edition caftan he created with the vodka brand. “I [usually] don’t like anything that shows my back. I’ve never worn a backless dress like this before…so I was really excited when I was putting it on.” Unlike some celebrity weight-loss winners, Kelly is frank about the hard work that went into dropping the pounds. “I’ve been working out with a personal trainer three times a week, which I really enjoy. It makes me think, ‘Why the hell did I not do this so long ago?’” Don’t expect to catch Kelly pumping iron in place of her mat and floor work, however. “I try to stay away from the machines,” she explains. “I find that machines will only work that one part of your body. And you’ll end up getting a really big muscle somewhere where you don’t want it.” And while she might not be reaching for French fries anymore as her go-to indulgence, “I don’t deny myself what I want, because…when I do [finally] get it, I’ll eat ten times more.”–Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester, Reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

Matthew Fox and Eric Dane: Living La Dolce Vita in Portofino

Flynet

What were Lost‘s Matthew Fox and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Eric Dane doing aboard a speedboat in Portofino, Italy this week? It certainly wasn’t a TV doctors’ medical conference: The stars, along with fellow Hollywood actors Cate Blanchett and Kevin Spacey, supermodel Elle Macpherson, and Portuguese soccer star Luis Figo, were shooting a new ad campaign for Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen’s latest collection. Shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh, the black-and-white ads feature the dashing cast dressed in 1950s and ’60s period wardrobe–meant to evoke the glamorous lifestyle depicted in the Italian film La Dolce Vita. Keep your eye out for the campaign, which is set to launch in 2011, and for more on IWC timepieces, visit iwc.com. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

London’s Calling Ashley Olsen for Her Next Olsenboye Collection

Marion Curtis/Startraks

There’s a British invasion scheduled to hit JC Penney stores come fall. With New York serving as the inspiration behind Olsenboye’s debut collection, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are looking to “cute little British girls” for the next installment of their lower-priced juniors line. “We’re doing London street style next,” Ashley revealed to PEOPLE at last night’s Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Pop Up event in New York City, hosted by designer Matthew Williamson, who collaborated with the vodka brand on a limited edition caftan. In the name of research, Ashley traveled to the British city to observe the foreign trendsetters first hand. “You pay attention to their style and lifestyle and what they do,” she says. And with two other fashion labels to think about — including their high-end range The Row and their ready-to-wear collection Elizabeth and James — Ashley and Mary-Kate are always looking for inspiration. “I think it’s about paying attention to the world, and to culture and what’s happening,” says Ashley. So how do they stay focused on all three lines? “You know it’s a lot of work,” Ashley admits about keeping the three lines fresh. “But it’s definitely not hard to keep it straight. It’s just a matter of finding enough time to be able to devote to each brand, really.” See the latest Olsenboye collection at jcp.com now. –Andrea DeSimone; reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

Bye-Bye Bob! Jessica Stroup is All About the Pixie Cut

Sara De Boer/Startraks

Renee Zellweger and Hayden Panettiere may be the latest stars to pick a pixie cut, but 90210‘s Jessica Stroup had a different star in mind for her new cropped cut. “I wanted to do the Audrey Hepburn thing,” Stroup told PEOPLE at last night’s Young Hollywood Awards. But it finally took seeing the look on a stylish pal to get Stroup into the salon. “What sold it was when I was walking down the street outside my house, and one of my neighbors was rocking the short hair,” she admitted to PEOPLE. “And I finally I took a picture [of her] and said, ‘I’m going to copy you, are you cool with that?’” And while she has set herself apart from the other long-locked Jessicas of Hollywood, she’s experiencing one unintended consequence. “A lot of people don’t recognize me, and a lot people think that I’m a boy,” she jokes. “But some people think it’s chic, and when I hear that I have to give them a big hug.” Guess Jessica owes us a big bear hug then — we think the new look is fab! Tell us: Do you like Jessica Stroup’s new pixie do or do you miss her old bob?reporting by Reagan Alexander
