Britney Spears Turns Designer for Candie’s!

PCC/Splash News Online

Britney Spears is no longer just the pretty face behind Candie’s for Kohl’s ultra-girly ads. Taking to her Twitter page last week, the pop star tweeted, “At my photo shoot for the limited edition collection I designed for Candie’s! The new line will be a reflection of the star’s own personal style, with prices ranging from $24 to $58. Britney will continue her role as the model for Candie’s and show off her handiwork in another set of ads for her collection, due out this fall. Stay tuned for more information. EXCLUSIVE Taylor Swift’s Fashion Inspiration: Her Fans!

Peter Kramer/AP

After being announced as the newest face of CoverGirl on Friday, Taylor Swift tells PEOPLE exclusively about what led her to her most gorgeous gig yet. “I love makeup,” she says. “When I go on stage, I get to play with my look and try on all kinds of different colors — try red lips tonight, purple eyeshadow tomorrow. You get to play around with all these different characters, and I think that’s one of my favorite things about makeup — you can put on a new character.” But when it came to her first-ever campaign as a CoverGirl, the singer wanted to just be herself. “I wanted to sort of show how makeup can play up your natural features. It’s not about changing how you look. I feel like I still look like myself, and that’s exactly what I hoped for.” And while Taylor’s fans might look to her for style pointers, the singer admits that she’s doing the exact same thing with them. “I’m a big people-watcher,” she says. “When I see a girl walking down the street wearing a really cool necklace or an outfit that’s put together in a way I wouldn’t have thought of, it’s inspiring to me. Also, girls come through my meet and greet lines every night wearing dresses or outfits I love. That’s really my favorite way to be inspired by fashion.” But she does have her go-to designers. “On the road, I love wearing sun dresses. Some of my favorite things to wear are by Alice + Olivia, Rebecca Taylor, Betsey Johnson, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters.” As for whether she has plans to continue designing, the singer admits: “I’m not planning on a fashion line right now. I’m really wrapped up in recording and writing my next album, so I’ve only taken on a few extra things lately. I love fashion and dressing up for red carpets, but I want to wait until I have enough time to dedicate to something like that.” –Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Jessica Alba’s Week of Style Changes: Which is Her Best Look?

Startraks; WireImage; AP; Retna

Sporty, Posh, Sexy and Edgy — no, we’re not talking about the Spice Girls, just Jessica Alba‘s week of style changes! Kicking off her chameleon week at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Killer Inside Me, Jessica slipped into a white hippie-chic Chloe dress and added long extensions to her hair. Two days later, she ditched her long locks (and bohemian glam) for a sexy leather minidress and edgy Christian Louboutin fringed platforms at another event in New York City. Come Saturday, Jessica got casual in sweats and a T-shirt for the Revlon Walk For Women, but by Sunday night, she was back to her movie-star self in an elegant Marios Schwab black peplum gown adorned with a Swarovski crystal collar at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. While we think Jessica pulls off all the looks with ease, we want to know what your favorite is. Tell us: What do you think is Jessica’s best look? Vote!Andrea DeSimone

Pink Goes Brunette: Love It or Hate It?

Sara De Boer/Startraks

Gone is the bold pink locks of yesteryear — and the icy blonde pompadour from early this year! Pink hit the red carpet at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s “An Evening with Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality” this weekend with a new, light brown color along with a chic, freshly cropped trim. While she may not be pregnant, this more natural pixie cut certainly is the most mature (and dare we say conservative) look that we can remember on the 30-year-old singer. Just as long as she keeps her legendary stage performances as bold as ever, we like her with whatever hairstyle she chooses! Tell us: Do you like Pink’s new do or do you prefer it the way it was before? David Yi
