Gwyneth Paltrow: How I Got Into ‘The Shape of My Life’

Gregg DeGuire/PictureGroup

Gwyneth Paltrow is making no secret of how she whipped herself into shape for her role in Iron Man 2: Her trainer and business partner Tracy Anderson. In her latest Goop newsletter, the Oscar-winner goes one step further, spelling out her entire Anderson-prescribed regimen for getting, as she writes, “into the shape of my life.” From her daily breakfast shake and post-workout kale juice recipes, to a 26-minute video of the exact leg-and-butt exercises that Tracy laid out for Gwyneth during the filming of the movie, the ever-svelte actress divulges all her get-fit secrets. According to Paltrow, Anderson’s rigorous leg series allows the star to “do ridiculous things like be a 37-year-old mother of two and wear shorts!” For more on Gwyneth’s Iron Man 2 prep work, visit goop.com. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

Another Night, Another Barely-There Armani Catsuit for Lady Gaga

Michael Becker/PictureGroup/FOX

Lady Gaga exploded onto the American Idol stage last night donning a dazzling fishnet ensemble from Giorgio Armani while performing her hit new single, “Alejandro.” The Italian designer is a clear favorite of the statement-making star, whose out-of-this-world Grammy dress and stellar Monster Ball tour costumes were Armani’s creations. “To complement the spirit of Lady Gaga herself, I have let my imagination run free, and the outfit I have created for her for American Idol is pure fantasy,” the designer said in a release. The ever-busy chanteuse–who also performed at the Met Gala in a sheer Armani catsuit earlier this week–took to the stage in a silk mesh bodysuit, featuring embroidered Chantilly lace as well as sparkling crystals and jet beading. The look was completed with a silk organza cape, a dark hood and matching black patent stiletto boots. Though Lady Gaga looked absolutely amazing with her skin-tight look, we have to wonder if the dramatic ensemble was approved by the judges or deemed to be a “little pitchy.” Tell us: What do you think about Lady Gaga’s Giorgio Armani costume? Nicole, Rashida and More Rock Out for I Heart Ronson

John Shearer/WireImage

The Ronson family knows how to party! Charlotte Ronson celebrated her I Heart Ronson collection at the JCPenney Spring Cocktail Jam Tuesday night with famous friends and family by her side, including siblings DJ Samantha and musician Mark. Charlotte told PEOPLE that she drew inspiration from stepfather and Foreigner front man Mick Jones’s old album covers and tees for the new line of vintage-inspired T-shirts. “(I looked through) all my old favorite Foreigner T-shirts, reworking them and updating them a little bit but still keeping it true with what was so cool back then when they first came out.” And I Heart Ronson’s mix of classic and affordable looks drew praise from the star-studded audience. “I just thought it was really cool that she was designing a line of T-shirts for JCPenney because everybody loves rock T-shirts and cool T-shirts, and they are all like a gazillion dollars and it’s so annoying,” said model Marisa Miller. “You want your basic pieces that you wear everyday to be affordable, so what a concept!”  90210 star Jessica Lowndes added, “I love that rock vintage tees, which I love, are now at affordable prices so that’s incredible!” While Foreigner performed a set at the party, Charlotte’s close knit group, including Nicole Richie, Benji Madden, Rashida Jones and Nicky Hilton, sang along to “I Want To Know What Love Is” while Samantha toasted her sister. Next up for Charlotte could be a line of children’s clothes, which will make pal Drea de Matteo’s daughter, Alabama, happy. “I want her to start making baby clothes!” said Matteo. EXCLUSIVE: The Inside Dish on Miley Cyrus’s ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Look

Albert Michael/StarTraks

Miley Cyrus is literally shedding her good girl image in the steamy new video for her single “Can’t Be Tamed.” Donning a sexy set of wings and a $25,000 metal corset custom-made by The Blonds, a caged Miley readily takes on the role of a rare bird. Celebrity makeup artist Denika Bedrossian, who created the starlet’s wild look, tells PEOPLE exclusively, “Our inspiration for the video was exotic endangered birds breaking out of their cages; lots of sexy, dark, exotic feathers.” To achieve Miley’s untamed look, Bedrossian focused on the eyes, applying rich jewel-toned shadows. “I used a lot of emerald green, turquoise and black to create a deep peacock eye,” says Bedrossian, who used vivid eye color from MAC and The Balm to stand out against Miley’s fair skin. And to add extra dimension to Miley’s eyes, Bedrossian applied lashes with real feather tips for an authentic bird-like feel. Though Miley’s new look is more grown-up than we are used to, Bedrossian tells us that the songstress helped conceptualize the dramatic change. “We all collaborated together to create a gothic, edgy, yet feminine bird. She wanted to be a part of every detail.” Watch Miley’s “Can’t Be Tamed” video here. Tell us: What do you think of her exotic video look?Andrea DeSimone

Katy Perry On Her Style Evolution: ‘It’s Less Cute And More Meow’

Courtesy Lucky

When Katy Perry hits the boutiques, she prefers to roll without an entourage. “Typically, I like to shop alone–then it’s just about shopping, it’s about getting the job done,” the singer tells Lucky in a behind-the-scenes video of her cover shoot for the magazine’s June issue. The pop star, who took a calculated fashion risk donning a light-up dress at the Met Gala earlier this week, says she’s also an island when it comes to style inspirations. “I’m not influenced by anyone else’s taste or ideas or trends…I know what looks good on my body,” she says of her personal style, which she developed on a shoestring budget growing up. “I was completely broke. I used to borrow outfits, get my makeup done at makeup counters, and then sneak into events. It was cool!” But the singer’s strong fashion sense doesn’t necessarily mean she’s stuck with just one look over the years. “I’ve gone from Betty Boop to more Bettie Page,” she explains of her current style. “It’s less cute and more meow.” But whatever her look of the moment, her songwriting and style sense go hand in hand, explains Perry. “Whenever I write a song, I look at Style.com to figure out what it would look like if it were a dress.” To hear more from Katy, pick up the latest issue of Lucky, on newsstands now, or visit luckymag.com. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

Sara Rue: 40 Lbs. Down and Ready to Run with Valerie!

Courtesy Jenny Craig

Being a spokesperson for Jenny Craig has been actress Sara Rue’s most challenging role ever, but it’s also been her most rewarding one. Since December she has taken control of her food issues and recently hit a new milestone–losing 40 lbs.! “I feel great and I feel very excited and hopeful,” Rue, 31, tells PEOPLE. “It’s pretty cool to know that however I want my body to look, I can have that.” Fellow Jenny Craig spokesperson Valerie Bertinelli tells PEOPLE, “I’m so proud of her. Look at her! She’s freakin’ gorgeous.” Anxious to “see what this body can do,” Rue has signed up for the Napa to Sonoma half marathon, which she plans to run with Bertinelli in July. “I never thought I would take to running, but I did a 5K recently and that went well! And I think I might be crazy, but my next goal is to do a half marathon with Valerie this summer,” says Rue. “I’m really excited to ramp up my training now that I’ve lost 40. We’ll see where this takes me!” Rue originally set a weight loss goal of 30 lbs., but managed to surpass that by considering her Jenny Craig experience as a lifestyle change instead of a diet. And she’s not done yet. “I’m going to go on and lose a little bit more,” she says. “The longer I am on the program, the less I have to think about it. It just becomes a lifestyle. It’s not like you’re on today, off tomorrow.” –Nina Tyler
