Is Rihanna Borrowing Justin Bieber’s Style?

When it comes to fashion, Rihanna is usually more trendsetter than follower, but lately the pop star seems to be taking her fashion cues from her A-list friends. On Monday, she took to the stage at London’s O2 Arena in a sweeping light up dress that reminded us of the battery-operated gown that her gal pal Katy Perry donned to the Met Gala last week. Now, the singing sensation appears to be copying pal Justin Bieber’s style swagger. The singer was spotted leaving London restaurant Cipriani Wednesday night, donning a baggy black sweater and a bright neon flip cap–not to mention a styled coif that looked strangely familiar. This, just a few months after teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber sported a similar outfit–baggy sweatshirt, matching fitted cap and hair swoosh–while traveling to New York. It could just be coincidence that both stars have stepped out in near-identical outfits, but we can’t help but wonder if Rihanna is paying homage to her friends or taking a break from setting the trends. Tell us: What do you think of Rihanna’s Bieber-inspired look? EXCLUSIVE: Paris Hilton Dishes About Her 10th Fragrance!

Courtesy Parlux

Prolific perfumer Paris Hilton is releasing her 10th scent, and the hotel heiress—who has posed as a mermaid and channeled Tinkerbell for her past fragrance campaigns—goes Old Hollywood siren for her latest, Tease by Paris Hilton. “I got to dress up like my idol Marilyn Monroe, and we ended up with some great photos,” Paris told PEOPLE of the shoot, which featured the 29-year-old in a sexily disheveled platinum mop-top à la Monroe. “She’s always been such an inspiration to me,” she said. The scent, a fruity-floral blend of Fuji apple, white peach nectar and bergamot, is balanced with white flowers and has base notes of amber, blonde woods and warm sand—designed to capture the come-hither spirit of the 1940s actress. “Tease is a really sweet and flirty scent, so the name is very fitting,” says Hilton. “It’s playful and sexy–perfect for grabbing attention.” Tease by Paris Hilton will arrive in stores this summer, with a 3.4 oz eau de parfum spray for $55. EXCLUSIVE: Jessica Simpson’s New Scent Shows Her ‘Romantic’ Side

Courtesy Parlux

Any fashionista worth her salt knows that there’s a world of difference between a sundress and an evening gown, and the same principle applies to perfume. Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson, the third installment in the Price of Beauty star’s “Fancy” fragrance series, wants to play the role of eveningwear in your scent wardrobe. “It is a deeper, richer scent–more provocative!” Jessica told PEOPLE of the the spicy scent, composed of warm notes of bergamot and Egyptian papyrus blended with Indonesian patchouli, Bulgarian red rose and night-blooming jasmine. “A fragrance can lead you deeper into a mood,” noted the actress, who posed for the campaign in a flowing dress set in a starry, moon-lit scene. “Fancy Nights gives me the chance to express a more romantic side of my personality.” Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson will arrive in stores this summer, with a 1.7 oz. eau de parfum spray priced at $49. Salma Hayek’s Gucci Couture Gown: The Chicest Première at Cannes!

Sean Gallup/Getty

Cate Blanchett‘s tribute to Alexander McQueen wasn’t the only major fashion moment on the Cannes red carpet yesterday at the premiere of Robin Hood. Salma Hayek also got cameras flashing by debuting the very first gown from Gucci Première, the Italian fashion house’s new couture label that was rumored to be in the works last January by WWD. Hayek’s dress–a sweeping, one-shoulder column in Bordeaux-red silk georgette–marked the public debut of creative director Frida Giannini’s special capsule collection of one-of-a-kind dresses, made-to-order with French haute couture ateliers. The actress finished her outfit with a pair of black satin peep toe heels and a black satin clutch, both by Gucci. But Hayek’s most dapper accessory at Cannes’ inaugural night premiere? Her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, the CEO of Gucci’s parent company PPR, who we guess may have had something to do with the actress modeling the breakout couture gown. The ultra-exclusive collection will be available on a limited basis to Gucci’s top clients. For more on Gucci, visit gucci.com. –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

Half-way through the show, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Natalie Morales emerged fresh-faced. With so many celebrities going sans-touchups, we have to wonder, could women everywhere follow suit? Tell us: Would you go makeup free for an entire day?

Antonio Banderas Shares ‘The Secret’ to His Latest Fragrance

Larry Busacca/Getty

Antonio Banderas may not share every detail of his life, but he does have at least one secret out in the open: The sexy Spaniard introduced his latest men’s fragrance, The Secret, Wednesday night at New York’s Instituto Cervantes. “Every human being [has a secret]–nobody just reveals what they have inside,” he told PEOPLE. The new release is his seventh produced by PUIG, who, says Banderas, ensure that the colognes have evolved with him. “I’m going to be 50 this year, so there’s another turn of a corner into maturity in a very clear, strong way,” he says of moving away from fresher scents into The Secret’s darker notes of leather, pepper and cinnamon. And with so many signature scents to choose from, which is his wife Melanie Griffith’s favorite? ”In the morning, she might prefer something simpler, something not so noticeable, like Diablo. And if we go out at night, then she prefers something stronger.” But when it comes to his wife, the perfumer prefers Melanie au naturel. “My favorite scent is her,” he says with a smile. The actor is also turning photographer, auctioning off several of his latest pictures via Charity Buzz to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The Secret will be available at drugstores, chain retailers, and department stores starting August. –Shruti Dhalwala
