We were thrilled when we first heard back in November that Lauren Conrad would be writing a style book, and we weren’t the only ones that wanted her fashion feedback. Conrad tells PEOPLE exclusively that her new tome was, in fact, inspired by all of her fans. “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion,” explains Conrad. “It was fun to share all the things I had learned.” So what will you see in Lauren Conrad Style? Besides tons of never-before-seen photos and relatable advice from Conrad herself along with her glam squad, expect “personal stories, live and learn stories,” and yes, even “a couple of high school horror stories.” While Conrad does find wearing cocktail dresses on the red carpet easier than dressing for everyday life, she devotes chapters to every occasion, even deciphering dress codes like the dreaded business casual. Her must-tip: don’t be afraid to take your pieces to a tailor to achieve your perfect fit. “Most of the things I buy are tailored,” she dishes, emphasizing the importance of finding your best fit instead of just following trends. Lauren Conrad Style will hit bookshelves on October 5, 2010, the same date as her third novel Sugar & Spice. Find out more about Lauren’s books at harperteen.com. –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

She is a pretty girl, and I agree that they couldve used a better picture for the cover, but if she approved the pic, then its all that matters since it is her book. Delana, you totally contradicted yourself saying that Lauren seems like a “motivated person” and has a “bland personality.”

Yeah, they could’ve picked a better picture for the cover.
I am happy and proud of LC. I’m glad she didnt
go down the same demented road Heidi is on now.
At least LC and Whitney are doing something productive with their lives and not just relying
on their looks like poor Heidi. But then again,
Pamela Anderson is still successful so I guess
if she gets lucky Heidi will still be around for

I have to agree with Allison I think she could have chose a much better photo. Don’t get me wrong she’s beautiful but there’s something about that pic I don’t care for.

She is cut from a different cloth of those typical plastic, over processed, bleached and fake baked HILLS bimbos/Bimbettes…I like Lauren she carries herself with class. The others prove that money, being white/blonde don’t equate to having class and decorum.

I actually jumped when I saw her picture! They need to redo the cover!

I think the book will be a hit but the picture is kinda scary. I’m not gonna lie. I was expecting something more elegant.

Kathy, look up the word contradicted. A person can be motivated and have a bland personality. Personality has nothing to do with motivation– your personality is simply who you are and how you present to others– be it outgoing, shy, dull, or introverted. When Lauren was on The Hills she came across as a rather dull person, but that clearly doesn’t mean that she can’t be motivated, driven, and successful.

I think she looks great – love LC!!
