We were thrilled when we first heard back in November that Lauren Conrad would be writing a style book, and we weren’t the only ones that wanted her fashion feedback. Conrad tells PEOPLE exclusively that her new tome was, in fact, inspired by all of her fans. “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion,” explains Conrad. “It was fun to share all the things I had learned.” So what will you see in Lauren Conrad Style? Besides tons of never-before-seen photos and relatable advice from Conrad herself along with her glam squad, expect “personal stories, live and learn stories,” and yes, even “a couple of high school horror stories.” While Conrad does find wearing cocktail dresses on the red carpet easier than dressing for everyday life, she devotes chapters to every occasion, even deciphering dress codes like the dreaded business casual. Her must-tip: don’t be afraid to take your pieces to a tailor to achieve your perfect fit. “Most of the things I buy are tailored,” she dishes, emphasizing the importance of finding your best fit instead of just following trends. Lauren Conrad Style will hit bookshelves on October 5, 2010, the same date as her third novel Sugar & Spice. Find out more about Lauren’s books at harperteen.com. –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Hey Allison

Can you please post a picture of your book cover so we have something to compare it to? Thanks!

Yeh LC! Pic is beautiful as I am sure the style advice will be as well!

Lauren seems like a very motivated person and I am so happy for all of her success. However, she looks like a robot in this picture, which suits her bland personality.

I hope all of you who are saying negative things about her picture are PERFECT. Obviously, we all have our opinions, but she approved this picture so therefore must like it. Why is there always something negative??

hair & makeup and her outfit (or lack thereof) looks perfect…I just wish it were more of a high fashion type of photo (maybe a side view of her face). I’m glad she out grew The Hills and focusing more on fashion and writing.

At least she’s a celebrity that actually has an education in the field and actually has a right to give some advice on the subject. Plus she does always look cute. I think I may have seen Whitney Port in one flattering outfit

Allison, You’re just jealous! She’s beautiful no matter what! You just wish you had her fame and money. Don’t hate!!

Luna on

That is NOT a flattering picture of her– she looks creepy. Not stylish or elegant..And I would buy her book if she actually had a unique style– all her dresses look the same and her personal style doesn’t set her apart from the crowd…These “celebrities” need to stop getting book deals unless they have something interesting to read about
