Michelle Williams Catches Pixie-Cut Fever: Love It Or Hate It?

It looks like Hollywood has a case of pixie cut fever: Joining Jessica Stroup, Renée Zellweger, and Hayden Panettiere, Michelle Williams is the latest star to go super short for summer. The actress, who’s currently at Cannes promoting her film Blue Valentine, showed off a freshly cropped, platinum pixie with long side-swept bangs at the French film festival today. Though she’s no stranger to short hair, having famously chopped her locks into a dramatic Mia Farrow-esque do in 2007, the 29-year-old’s new lighter, brighter neck-baring style is a marked change from the honey-colored, collarbone-grazing waves that she’s been sporting recently. The indie film darling is reportedly in talks to play Marilyn Monroe–could her new color be a nod to the iconic blonde bombshell? It’s always pretty and feminine when bangs are long and sweeping, so yes this looks good. I don’t like the short croppy, choppy look on her, it is too boyish.

Wow Bella, hate much? It looks great on her. Don’t be jealous. Short hair on a woman can be attractive at any age and she has the right face for it. Long her makes her look older than what she is. It’s great to see her looking so well after all she has been through. I think she has nothing but grace and dignity throughout all of her trials and props to her on being such a great single mom as well.

LOVE the cut. Wish the color was slightly warmer. I think this particular tone washes out her skin tone, which is a shame, because in this picture there is otherwise a beautiful vibrancy to her face. Either darken up the hair color a bit, or her stylist/makeup artist should add just a smidge more color to her cheeks.
