Carey Mulligan's BAFTA Dress on the Auction Block For Oxfam

05/12/2010 at 03:00 PM ET

Rising British star Carey Mulligan may adore her floral-print Vionnet gown after winning the best actress award at this year’s BAFTAs, but now she’s parting ways with the silk dress–all for a good cause. Along with other fashion-savvy Brits like TV host Alexa Chung and model Elle Macpherson, Mulligan is auctioning off the frock to helpĀ Oxfam raise money for women’s initiatives around the world. The bidding will start May 13 at oxfam.org.uk/curiosityshop, and proceeds will help impoverished women fund a campaign against violence and assist in the effort to fight HIV and AIDS. To participate in the cause and for more information, check out Oxfam.org.uk today!
