Bikini or One-Piece: How Do You Hit the Beach?

Splash News Online

Summer is almost here and we all know what that means—bathing suit season is officially upon us. And as temperatures heat up, so too do the swimwear options, making it tough to decide what to wear when you hit the beach. From vibrant bikinis to sleek one-pieces, even stylish stars have to choose which beach-friendly look better flatters their figure. Kim Kardashian flaunted her famous curves in a neon string bikini in Miami Beach last May, while Beyoncé opted for a bright multi-colored one-piece while vacationing in Hawaii last month. Though both stars look chic in their swimwear, we want to know which style you prefer. Tell us: What will you wear this summer? Vote now!

Lindsay Lohan Begs Chanel To Fix Her Fashion Quandary

INF

Who says an alcohol-monitoring bracelet can’t be chic? Certainly not Lindsay Lohan, who took fashion matters into her own hands after being ordered to wear the unsightly ankle device following a failed court appearance last week. Lindsay, who’s been spotted sporting a new blonde do along with her SCRAM-bracelet, appealed to Chanel via her Twitter last night, begging for a timely solution to the fashion faux-pas, tweeting: “can CHANEL please help me out by getting me some stickers to put on my scram bracelet so that i can at least wear a chic dress?! maybe!? x”. While the last time that Lindsay voluntarily wore another SCRAM bracelet, she flaunted it while wearing teeny bikinis, she seems to be going for a modest approach these days in uncharacteristic wide-leg jeans. Will Karl Lagerfeld come to Lindsay’s rescue so she can wear minis again? Only time will tell. –Gillian Koenig

SYTYCD’s Cat Deeley Uses Her Vintage Finds to Inspire Her New Jewelry Line

Gilbert Flores/Celebrity Photo

Wearing vintage on the red carpet has long been considered chic, but while many celebrities lean on stylists and professional curators to source past-decade pieces, a few intrepid fashion plates–like So You Think You Can Dance‘s leggy host Cat Deeley–enjoy the thrill of the hunt themselves. “It can be incredibly intimidating for a lot of women, because they don’t have the time or the inclination,” the British beauty explained to PEOPLE at Tuesday’s 35th Annual Gracie Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, where she wore a goddess-like taupe Sonia Rykiel gown paired with bold dangling gold earrings. “I’m quite good at finding these little hidden treasures.” So good, in fact, that the former model-turned-television host is launching a new jewelry line for QVC next month, inspired by her own vintage collection, which she has slowly amassed while on the road for the show. “When I’m going off and traveling around the country on the audition tour, I go to all these vintage shops–anywhere from L.A. to New York to Memphis to Nashville to wherever. And I [find] all these amazing vintage designs,” she divulged. And lucky for us, Cat’s new QVC collection is designed to look just like these one-off items–only updated with bold modern accents. So what tends to catch her eye? Says the statuesque star, “It’s always a bit of a statement piece.” We can’t wait to see the new collection on June 18! –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley; reporting by Scott Huver

Cynthia Nixon’s New Longer Locks: Love ‘Em or Hate ‘Em ?

Anthony Harvey/PictureGroup

While Sarah Jessica Parker set cameras flashing in an Alexander McQueen gown and a wild Philip Treacy hat at last night’s London premiere of Sex and the City 2, costar Cynthia Nixon’s most prominent accessory for the evening was her noticeably longer hair. Just days after hitting the movie’s N.Y.C. premiere in a black Carolina Herrera with her signature shoulder-grazing bob, the strawberry blonde appeared last night in London with an extra several inches of wavy extensions framing her asymmetrical peacock-blue Narciso Rodriguez gown. We can’t remember ever seeing Cynthia with such long locks, and we love that she’s switching it up. Tell us: Do you like Cynthia Nixon’s longer hair?

Plus-Size Model Crystal Renn Not Losing Weight on Purpose

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty

When plus-size supermodel Crystal Renn walked the runway for Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel cruise show in St. Tropez several weeks ago, tongues began wagging that she was losing her signature curves. Not so, says Renn’s agent. “She is not trying to lose weight at all,” her Ford Models agent tells PEOPLE. “She fluctuates between a 10 and a 14.” At the moment, she seems to be on the lower end of that range, in part, her agent says, because she’s been so active recently. “She went hiking in Patagonia for three weeks over the holidays and she firmed up and got a little smaller,” he says. “She has also been traveling like crazy and tends to be smaller when that happens.” Renn, 24, has been an outspoken critic of the modeling industry and chronicled her battle with anorexia in a 2009 memoir, Hungry. –Charlotte Triggs
