Adam Lambert On His Style: ‘I Take It As Far As I Can’

Michael Caulfield/Getty

You can’t miss Adam Lambert in a crowd, so what’s the secret to his standout style? “More is more,” he reveals in a new video for Fashionair.com taken at his photo shoot for Paper magazine’s “Beautiful People 2010″ issue. “I think glam is as much an attitude as it is an aesthetic,” he says, sporting a layered jacket by Bisson (that he describes as, “turtle neckalicious,”) jeans and boots by Diesel, and a shirt from All Saints. “Not taking yourself too seriously and getting to really overdo it at times.” And with Lambert guest mentoring on American Idol next week, expect nothing less than an over-the-top mix of major statement pieces. “When I put together my own things, I just put as many rings and as many necklaces on as possible–I don’t really stop, I take it as far as I can take it,” he says. David Livingston/Getty

What’s a girl like Kim Kardashian to do after she’s gone through a very public breakup? Sweat it out! The 29-year-old star–and fan of workout apparel brand Bravada International–helped launch the line at a party yesterday at The Grove in Los Angeles. “The line is something that I’ve aligned myself with because it’s something that I wear all the time,” she tells PEOPLE. “I mean, it’s really hard for me to find fitness clothes and the sports bras sometimes don’t fit, or the pants are all different sizes—this line is all only one size and it really does fit all my sisters and they’re all different sizes. It’s so stretchy, and it’s stylish. You wanna look good when you go to the gym. You wanna feel your best.” The petite beauty also revealed that she’s keeping herself extra busy since going solo. ”I’m such a workaholic right now,” she tells PEOPLE. “I’m diving into work, and [am] just so busy to even stop and think about anything.” So what exercise regime does she use to keep her svelte body in shape? “I’m kind of loving Barry’s Bootcamp,” she divulges. “It’s torture but it’s amazing. I see a difference right away when I go.” For more information on Kim Kardashian’s exercise regime of choice, check out barrysbootcamp.net!–David Yi; reporting by Melody Chiu

Olivia Palermo’s First Birkin Bag Made Her ‘One of the Tribe’

Lawrence Schwartzwald/Splash News Online

True fashionista status might be defined by owning an Hermès Birkin bag — and The City‘s Olivia Palermo will never forget the day she got her first. “It was such a pivotal moment–especially living in New York–to have received it,” Olivia tells Vogue.co.uk. “It was like joining a fashion clique and finally becoming one of the tribe.” So how did this City girl find herself in the company of such famous taste-makers like Victoria Beckham and Ashley Olsen who tote the iconic bag? “Fashion is something that interests me,” says Olivia. “It started when I would see my mother and aunt get dressed up and go out at night in the city.” Now that she’s all grown up, the star has developed her own fashion philosophy: “Everybody thinks it’s the clothing that makes an outfit, but more often than not it’s the accessories.” And it’s not all about the designer duds all the time, either. “Sometimes I feel my best in a great pair of jeans and a fabulous T-shirt,” she says. Gwyneth Paltrow On Her Body: ‘I Had To Work Hard To Get It Like This’

Courtesy Vogue

Having sung the praises of fried chicken, eaten her way through Spain with Mario Batali, and posted numerous recipes on her lifestyle site Goop.com it’s clear that Gwyneth Paltrow is a bona fide foodie. “I can eat what I want, as long as I exercise,” she tells British Vogue, “which is just as well, because if I put the word ‘diet’ into my brain, I immediately gain a stone [about 14 lbs].” In fact, the Oscar-winning actress is so wrapped up in culinary delights, she even has a cookbook in the works. “I have this whole other passion, which is home-making,” explains the magazine’s May cover model. “As silly as that sounds–it’s not 1955, after all–it’s really important to me, all that stuff, sitting round a table as a family.” So how does Paltrow stay so svelte in the face of the calories that come with recipe-testing? “I had to work hard to get like this,” says the 37-year-old mother-of-two, who lost 20 lbs. after the birth of Moses, her second child with husband Chris Martin of Coldplay, by working out intensively with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson. “I’m not skinny–I look like I eat and all…I was getting boxy from all that yoga, so Tracy gave me a waist,” she says of her sessions with Anderson, with whom she’s opening a second fitness studio in London–a satellite of their original joint venture in New York City–later this year. And it seems that it was all worth the sweat: “Now [that] I’m here, it’s so great because I don’t have to think about [my figure]. I can just enjoy life. What a relief is that…”  To read the full feature, pick up a copy of the May issue of British Vogue. — Marissa Patlingrao Cooley
