Eva Longoria Parker Cures Her Perfume Allergy With New Signature Scent

What happens when you love perfume but are hopelessly allergic? If you’re Eva Longoria Parker, who had her heart set on developing a signature scent, you take matters into your own hands. “If someone were wearing perfume next to me, I would sneeze and sneeze and sneeze,” said the Desperate Housewives star at yesterday’s launch party for Eva by Eva Longoria Parker at her restaurant Beso in Hollywood. “I’ve been allergic my entire life.” Longoria Parker–who wore a shimmery beaded Rafael Cennamo dress–didn’t let that stop her. “I always admired people who wore perfume–I was like, ‘Gosh, I wish I could wear one. My agent said, ‘Why don’t you make one?’” The resulting scent–a warm, citrusy “day fragrance,” according to the star–is consequently the anti-perfume perfume. “I wanted something clean and fresh. Something that smelled like you just got out of the shower. And that’s how I came up with the scent,” said the actress, who toasted the launch with a glass of champagne, surrounded by co-stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Brenda Strong and famous friends like Heidi Klum. Unfortunately, her husband, NBA player Tony Parker, had to miss the soiree because of a game, but congratulated his wife via a sweet big-screen message during the toasts. So did her hubby ever mind her previously perfume-free existence? “No. And it’s funny because he’s French,” quipped the actress. “You would think that he cared.” Tell us: Will you be buying Eva Longoria Parker’s new signature scent?– reporting by Pearl Barraclough

I will definitely buy this! I only wear perfume once in a while and it usually makes me itch, sneeze and feel sick to my stomach. I really want to wear it all he time, but save it for special occasions! I will be trying this out!

Yes, I will absolutely buy her perfume. I have had the same problem for years with the headaches and sneezing. I cannot wait to try it. Where can I buy it?

I normally don’t care for celebrity fragrances, but the fact that is for allergy sufferers AND it smells citrusy has won me over. I don’t have a perfume allergy, but most perfumes are too strong for me and cause headaches. The only brand I’ve been able to tolerate is Fresh. Hopefully Eva’s perfume will work for me too!
