Padma Lakshmi's Beauty Secret: Foot Massages!

04/05/2010 at 04:09 PM ET

Anders Krusberg/Startracks

New mom Padma Lakshmi knows what makes her feel beautiful these days: foot massages! “Lately it’s been getting a foot massage [that] makes me feel really good. Because I feel like when you feel relaxed, it shows on your face and your muscles aren’t tense. So that makes me feel beautiful.” But there is one beauty must-have that the new mom is having to forgo these days. “Sleep is very important. It’s important for weight loss, it’s important for your skin, it’s also important for mental clarity. So it is one of those unsung heroes of a person’s beauty and wellness regime.” Have your own beauty tips to share? Log onto to DialSoap.com to share what makes you feel beautiful, and Dial NutriSkin Body Wash will donate $1 to Padma’s nonprofit, The Endometriosis Foundation of America. ($1 is also donated for every new Dial Facebook fan if you don’t have any tips to share) Read more about Padma’s partnership and her fight to raise awareness of endometriosis here in our Moms & Babies section.

She’s beautiful. Sleep is very important and you don’t get much of it being a new mom!

Karan Kapoor on

Yeah Right!! You go to a Bimbo with an IQ of 100 for health tips.

coolmaddi on

@Karan…an IQ of 100 is within the average range.

Paula on

She’s beautiful and looks radiant. Don’t go out of your way to be hateful.

Angie on

She is so beautiful, even more so with her curves. Go Padma, you’re stunning!
As for the RUDE comment from Karen Kapoor- wow, what a childish comment, i’m thinking you’re just jealous maybe? LOL

Lisa on

@ Karan,

If you don’t like her, why are you reading about her? and commenting?
ALSO… 100 is the average IQ. Your comment clearly shows who’s the bimbo here..
She’s made a name and a life for herself.. How about you do the same for yourself? Stop lofting and making rude comments?!

Angie on

@Karen Looks like you’re outnumbered on here. Go find somewhere else to be miserable.

Sep28 Well, Hannah, you’re exceptionally urftonate in that regard.I would suggest Prof. Daniel McInerny’s blog , but it looks as if you might already have been reading it. If not, you should.St. Thomas (or at least Maritain or some Thomist, any Thomist) on beauty really should be required reading for every Catholic. Too many of us have unwittingly absorbed the entirely subjectivist view of art that has dominated popular and academic thought for the last 150 years. So even if we have good taste, it becomes impossible to comment on art without resorting to taste and emotion, which are poor tools.Kudos for the cogent essay.
