Lauren Conrad's Hair Truth: 'These Are All Extensions'

When it comes to dishing about intimate beauty secrets, who is more qualified to hear from than reality TV’s favorite best friend? In May’s “Friendship” issue of Glamour, cover girl Lauren Conrad not only opens up about her own two best pals, Whitney Port and Lo Bosworth, (“They’re my support system,” says L.C.), she also divulges a rarely acknowledged tidbit about her famously shiny, wavy locks: “These are all extensions.” Conrad explains, “I chopped all my hair off to my shoulders. I thought I was doing a chic bob. It was so bad.” The best-selling novelist and designer even talks about her body image. “I’ve never felt a push to be stick thin,” she says. “I work out and eat healthy, so mostly it’s about being in shape and having energy.” But even with all of her hard work, the 24-year-old star has had to accept her imperfections. “About a year ago, I looked down and thought, ‘I have cellulite. Where did that come from?’ I went through treatments; [my body] was like, It’s not going anywhere.'” To read the full interview with Lauren, pick up an issue on newsstands starting April 6 or visit glamour.com.–David Yi

Love Lauren Conrad! Love everything she does!

I like her honesty. It makes me not dislike her.

Stephanie on

Yes!!! I agree…unlike fake Heidi!!!!!

Taylor on

I honestly did not like LC when she and Heidi were on The Hills, during their big fight. For awhile, I was “Team Heidi”, if you want to put it that way.

After all of Heidi’s surgeries, though, I really didn’t care for either girl. I do think this brief article on Lauren has changed my mind, though (: Her honesty is really admirable, and that’s something we all should like.

I love LC (:
She’s always been my girl!

I have always really liked her. I’m older then her, so I’ve always been kinda proud at the way she handles herself, etc. I know that’s silly!

I wish she would hurry up and marry that darling boyfriend of hers though. So cute together!

When I first saw LC I thought she was beautiful, but incredibly dull with absolutely no personaility. She has gained self-esteem and has blossomed into a more confident, likable young lady. It’s refreshing that she is a hard worker and has done well with her books and clothing line.

Cute photo on

Cute photo to keep forever of the three girls. Relationships are key in life, and it is good that Lauren Conrad figured this out at her age. Good luck to her and her future endeavors.

I can appreciate honesty in the fashion world. Especially in the reality TV fashion world. Unlike most in that industry…
