Victoria Beckham: “Marc Jacobs Changes How We See Fashion”

Marion Curtis/Startraks

Victoria Beckham‘s eponymous dress collection might be sold alongside Marc Jacobs’s ready-to-wear line in some of the world’s most exclusive department stores–but don’t expect any competition between these two fashion heavy hitters. In fact it’s quite the opposite. When Jacobs was the only fashion designer to be honored as one of Time‘s 100 most influential people of the year, Victoria couldn’t resist the chance to gush about her designer pal and style role model. Penning a tribute to Jacobs in the issue, Beckham writes, “He has never followed fashion or trends; he follows his heart and sets trends. He changes how we see fashion with each collection he shows. His aesthetic is like no other,” adding, “You can always tell when someone is wearing Marc Jacobs.” Read more from Victoria’s tribute to Marc Jacobs and see who else made the list at Time.com.–David Yi
