Rachel Bilson on Her Styling Abilities: ‘I Really Dress Myself’

Albert Michael/Startraks

Many Hollywood fashionistas may rely on stylists like Rachel Zoe to look flawlessly pulled-together for every event–but not Rachel Bilson! “I really dress myself,” the actress told PEOPLE at Ann Taylor’s Fall 2010 fashion show on Thursday night in New York City. Demonstrating her style savvy, the petite beauty wore a giraffe-print sweater and a bejeweled black ribbon draped around her neck–both from Ann Taylor. “I’ve been known to put a necklace in my hair,” quipped Bilson. “That’s what getting dressed should be. It’s about fun and experimenting. I think you either enjoy it or you don’t–and I do.” The couture-loving star also loves a high-low style mix, especially using Ann Taylor’s new pieces: “The shoes and the purses are amazing. You can add them to a plain outfit to add a little pop,” said Bilson, switching into stylist mode. “That’s what’s great about [Ann Taylor]–you can incorporate it into your own wardrobe.” And with such a passion for fashion–not to mention a Hollywood budget–Bilson has amassed quite the closet. “I have a problem, in that I hold on to things that I’ve had since I was 13-years-old . . . So, yes, I probably should get rid of some stuff.” We bet there are plenty of women who would gladly take them off her hands! – reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

Aaron Eckhart Goes Behind the Camera as a Fashion Photographer

Neilson Barnard/Getty

He may have been all about fighting Batman in the The Dark Knight, but Aaron Eckhart tells PEOPLE that he has a new real life obsession — fashion photography! Having recently shot his first campaign for pal Molly Sims’ jewelry line, Eckhart tells PEOPLE at the line’s N.Y.C. launch last week that his new calling might be behind the lens. “I’m obsessed with it–it’s all I do,” he says. “That’s really the only thing I think about.” With magazines like French Vogue, Italian Vogue and L’Uomo Vogue as his inspirations, and famed photographers like Peter Lindbergh and Bruce Weber as his heroes, the easygoing actor says that capturing raw human emotions is what he’s most passionate about. “Straight-up fashion photography in the studio–that’s not what I necessarily aspire to, you know? I like to be outside, on location, making up stories,” he says. “That’s where my acting comes in.” So will the actor–who’s starring in an upcoming movie with Nicole Kidman later this year–turn photo pro? “I will if somebody asks me,” he says. “Hopefully I’ll do exhibitions and all that sort of stuff. I’m really just a photography geek. I just love to shoot.” –David Yi

Jane Krakowski Swaps ‘Eclectic Tans’ For a Healthier Glow — and Skin Cancer Awareness

Joe Kohen/Wireimage

Even when she’s singing about ‘Muffin Tops’ as 30 Rock‘s resident on-screen diva Jenna Maroney, comedian Jane Krakowski always manages to look perfectly put-together, but, she tells PEOPLE, she’s had her share of summer beauty disasters. “Well, back when I was a teenager, I wasn’t as conscious or aware of what we weren’t supposed to do, so I’ve had some what I like to call ‘eclectic tans,’” she laughs, “where the lotion didn’t make it to all the places — or you know you just spent a little too much time in the sun and get a bad strap mark and all of that sort of that stuff. For even a little while we were into the baby oil and all of that I mean, you know–really bad stuff for your skin.” The comedian’s now swapped baby oil for healthier options, and now she’s gearing up to help raise awareness–not to mention some serious cash–in the fight against skin cancer, with a little help from you. Each time you click over to the Jergens YouTube channel and watch her charming and funny video for Jergens Skincare’s In-The-Glow campaign for Natural Glow, a glow moisturizer, the brand will donate $1 to the Skin Cancer Foundation. “Hopefully, if people watch the video a lot frequently we can raise lots of money for the Skin Cancer Foundation,” she says. Comedy for a cause!–Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester
