Lauren Conrad's Favorite Designer: Herself!

When Lauren Conrad needs a wardrobe update, she looks no further than her own collection for Kohl’s. “I think if you’re not willing to wear your own clothes, you’re doing something wrong. This line was meant to be about my style and pieces I want to walk into a store and want to buy. If you’re not wearing your own line, you’re taking all the fun out of it,” the former reality star tells Glamour.com. Known for her flirty frocks and California cool girl style, Lauren says her staple piece is the blazer. “We have one in every collection, and we usually update it and tweak it a little bit. In this specific collection, I also really love the biker jacket we did.” And come spring, Lauren says she’ll be pairing her sharp toppers with lots of watercolor prints: “I think they’re very romantic and kind of timeless. I almost did too much of it with this collection. When we were shopping for prints with Kohl’s, everything I picked was watercolor and floral. They’re very in because of the whole Alice in Wonderland thing.” However one fashion fad, the style author won’t be trying this season is hot pants. “You can’t wear them to the club, because you’re going to look like one of the dancers, but they could look cute on the beach!” says Lauren. Here more from Lauren at glamour.com.

Love her!…and of course…she gets to design exactly what she wants to wear.

I agree with Nancy. Most anyone with good taste and the resources can put out a line of clothing. LC is only able to achieve this because she is a reality star. (which makes me sick)
REAL designers know how to tailor to the body and have had extensive training. I would never waste my money on something I could sew myself.

What happened to the good old days where you where famous for an actual reason (or actual talent)

The title is misleading, it makes LC sound arrogant. Keep at it LC, you’re not going to make your millions as an actor, so it should be as a designer…. or inheritance.

Well, Lauren Conrad is a very normal girl who wears very normal stuff. She designs clothes that everyday people can wear. Most people can’t go to italy and buy thousands of dollars of those strange looking runway clothes and wear them in everyday life. I think she is beautiful and her clothes are beautiful and I am going to try on some of her stuff this weekend.

Love her! She was the only reason I watched the Hills – once she left, I never tuned in again. She is the classiest of the “reality” stars – and just beautiful!

I love LC and cant wait to get in Khols and buy a few pieces. I am a black girl from the ATL and I love the Cali style of LC’s line. Just recently came from a vacay in LA (W. Hollywood) and her looks are dead on for WEST COAST COOL styling!

Big up-LC!!! Wish she was still on The Hills!!

F*** the Haters!!!

She has a point. So many celebs create and design clothing but wouldn’t be caught in them. Good for Lauren.
