Kellan Lutz Is the New Face (and Body!) of Calvin Klein Underwear

Courtesy Calvin Klein

Following in the famously buff footsteps of Mark Wahlberg and Djimon Hounsou, Kellan Lutz is the newest Hollywood hunk to strip down for Calvin Klein Underwear — specifically to launch their new Calvin Klein X Underwear range. “I started out modeling so this is the pinnacle,” Lutz tells PEOPLE of the Spring 2010 campaign. “What more can you do than be on a billboard for something that you grew up thinking was super sexy and classy? It’s really prestigious and I love it.” Along with fellow actor Mehcad Brooks, Spanish tennis star Fernando Verdasco and Japanese soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata, the Twilight star is stripping down to his logo-ed skivvies for provocative B&W ads shot by Mikael Jansson. So was he anxious about taking it all off? “With modeling, there are guys who do the Zoolander thing and it shows off as desperation,” says Lutz. “You just have to have confidence, kick back and have fun with it.” As for his newly beefed up sex symbol image, the star offers this (perhaps flawed) perspective. “I don’t see myself as perfect. I never will be and I never want to be,” he says. “I’m not the good-looking guy with the nice hair like [Twilight co-star] Rob Pattinson. I enjoy being not so pretty.” The ads will start rolling out in March, so from magazines to your TV to billboards, you can expect to see a lot more Lutz in your life. Tell us: What do you think of Kellan’s Calvin Klein ads?

Scarlett Johansson Designs A Handbag For Haiti Relief

Following the footsteps of other actresses turned socially-conscious designers is Scarlett Johansson, whose solidarity handbag for Mango will help raise funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Through a release the star—and face of the Spanish ready-to-wear label—said, “I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Mango to promote conscious consumerism and to benefit Oxfam’s Haiti Earthquake Response Fund. By purchasing this bag, which I specially designed, you are helping to provide life saving assistance like clean water to the people of Haiti.” Each map-printed ivory colored handbag will carry a message from the 25 year-old which reads: “supporting the people of Haiti, designed by Scarlett Johansson.” The bag will be available in March for $29.90, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Oxfam.

Oscar Nominations Are Out! Who Are You Excited to See on the Red Carpet?

Gilbert Flores/Celebrity Photo; Kevin Winter/Getty

The Academy Award nominations are finally in, and some of our favorite style stars are in the running for Hollywood’s ultimate prize. And as excited as we are to see who takes home the golden statues, if we’re honest, what we really care about is the gowns, the jewelry, the updos and more! We definitely have our favorite red carpet contenders, but in a year that sees Sandra Bullock facing off against Meryl Streep for Best Actress, along with Carey Mulligan, Helen Mirren and Gabourey Sidibe, it’s hard to decide who we’re most excited to see. We also can’t wait to find out if Penélope Cruz will continue her black streak, or to see if Zoe Saldana will go fashion-forward or Anna Kendrick will stay sweet — not to mention the stylish men, who will include George Clooney, Matt Damon and maybe even Brad Pitt (fingers crossed he turns up to support Inglourious Basterds)! Tell us: Who are you most excited to see at the Oscars?

SNEAK PEEK: Emma Watson’s New Eco-Clothing Collaboration

Courtesy Cantata, L.P

As the reigning face of Burberry, Emma Watson is already an established fashionista, so when we found out she would be designing a charity line for British fair-trade fashion label People Tree, we couldn’t wait to see what she had up her stylish sleeve. And by the looks of it, Emma did not disappoint! Acting as a creative advisor, Emma helped the team at People Tree create a vibrant collection of knitwear for women and men, consisting of cotton T-shirts, jersey dresses, poplin skirts and shorts. And what’s more, Emma shows off her designs in a 36-page color catalogue for the label. “I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty,” she says in a statement. “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion.” As such, 80% of Watson’s new line is made of 100% fair trade-certified cotton. Love what you see? People Tree will begin shipping to the U.S.A this week. –David Yi

Liv Tyler On Playing Dress Up With Kate Moss and Stella McCartney

Courtesy ELLE

When your dearest pals are Kate Moss and Stella McCartney, who needs a stylist? Liv Tyler, who appears on the March cover of British Elle says she relies on her girlfriends when it comes to matters of the heart–and of the closet. For old-fashioned, girly gossip, she heads to McCartney’s house in the English countryside. “Once our kids are asleep it’s ‘grab the wine’, and talk turns to boys and husbands,” she says. When not dishing with Stella, the 32-year-old actress can be found in the equally glamorous company of buddy Kate Moss. “I love playing dress-up with her and her closet,” she says of her sartorially gifted friend. But nothing compares to spending time with her all time BFF: 5-year-old son Milo, whose recent birthday bash she cites as the best party ever, and what sounds like the most fun fitness routine ever: “Jumping on a bouncy castle has got to be the best exercise!” Look out for the March issue of British Elle on sale February 3. -Monique Jessen

Grammy Winner Colbie Caillat Dishes On Getting Red Carpet Ready

Chris Pizzello/AP

Colbie Caillat, who just won last night’s Grammy award for best pop collaboration with vocals with Jason Mraz for their collaboration “Lucky,” looked like a golden girl in her sexy Nicolas Jebran gown. So how did the singer-songwriter prepare for music’s biggest night? “If I can, I go on a 20-minute jog everyday,” she told PEOPLE while trying on dress options for the big night. “I hate when I get in really good shape and then go back to my normal body and it’s always like, ‘oh, the weight fluctuates.’ I like to just stay at a healthy weight.” The California native also revealed her normal day-to-day meal plan. “I like to eat salads and soups so that is most of my meals. And I like granola cereal.” And what does the “Fallin’ For You” singer do when those hunger pangs come in the middle of an awards show? “I’ll have a piece of fruit with me or a granola bar,” she explained. “I always carry a little miniature water bottle. I would love to be able to carry that in my purse. Or when there are snacks somewhere you just stop and grab them.” For more on how other stars get fit for the red carpet, check out Road to Red Carpet.–David Yi, with reporting by Jessica Herndon
