Supermodel Claudia Schiffer Shares Her Maternity Fashion and Fitness Philosophy

A growing belly didn’t stop mom-to-be Claudia Schiffer from taking home the Model of the Year honor at the Elle Style Awards in London—nor did it prevent her from looking exceptionally chic. Schiffer, well into her third pregnancy, wore a loose-fitting black jersey dress by Emma Cook, paired with Miu Miu heeled booties and an Alexander McQueen clutch, and paused to talk to PEOPLE’s Celebrity Baby Blog about her maternity style: “I’m not the sort of person who likes to wear tight clothes when I’m pregnant, but I’m not a fan of maternity dresses either, so my advice would be to get things a few sizes bigger and have them tailored to fit.” The radiant model, who’s expecting in May, also revealed her low-key approach to diet and exercise: “During my first pregnancy, I started to eat organically and healthily because that was the first time I actually thought about what I was putting in my body.
