Carey Mulligan Goes Platinum: Love It or Hate It?

Carey Mulligan recently told PEOPLE that she “really want[s] long hair” — and while that wish might have come true yet, the first-time Oscar nominee did turn up just hours ago at the annual Academy Awards Nominee luncheon in Beverly Hills with a dramatic new platinum color. As much as we loved how her previous darker color helped define the shape of her pixie cut, we are loving what the lighter color does to her skin tone — especially when she adds glam ruby lips. I hate it!! she looks so much better with darker hair, it suits her skintone a LOT more
she is still fairly pretty with light hair though..

I like it. Her hair just needs some toner or in it. Once she gets the blond color just right, she’ll look great! Not big on lip color, however.

I saw photos of her in Elle Magazine taken from last spring(?) where she had short blond hair, and Carey looked very pretty.

I love it! Carey is a fantastic actress and has a definite and unique sense of style. She’s refreshing and beautiful regardless of hair color or style. I love that she’s willing to take risks and try new looks…before the crowd.

not all blondes are not platinum, carey’s hair is light golden blonde. platinum is a very light silver blonde, cheok out marilyn m’s hair, she was every shade of blonde
