No Fashion Week for Tina Fey: 'I Feel Like I'd Get Busted'

March cover girl Tina Fey might tell Vogue that she’s “represent[ing] normalcy in some way.” But there is nothing ordinary about her incredible sense of humor and ability to be self-deprecating above all else, whether joking about being out of place at Fashion Week (“I get invited to fashion shows,” says Fey, “but I feel like I’d get busted if I went to them. People would be like, ‘Who you tryin’ to be?'”), or accepting the criticism for her much-maligned Zac Posen dress at this year’s Golden Globes. “Do you think George Clooney will hold a telethon for my dress?” she jokes. But she does explain that she’s figured out in general what works — and what doesn’t — in terms of dressing. “I am a fan of the deep V. These are the things I learned from my friends who are cutter/drapers: I have an hourglass figure; I do have a waist, but I have full hips and I have decent shoulders. So that V is good for me. Not good on me? Spaghetti straps. It looks like when you tie up a roast before you put it in the oven.” And lest we think that she’s dressing strictly for red carpet critics, she explains the age-old truth that women dress for each other. “I think women dress for other women to let them know what their deal is. Because if women were only dressing for men, there would be nothing but Victoria’s Secret. There would be no Dior.” It’s all a long way up from her favorite childhood outfit of a hand-me-down colonial costume. “It consisted of a bonnet,” says Fey, “and a burlap apron and a long skirt. And I would just wear it sometimes after school. As an outfit… It was the Bicentennial! People were excited!” Read more of Tina’s hilarious and candid interview at vogue.com.

She’s great. Smart, funny, and showing us all that you don’t have to look like a ho to be sexy.

And I actually LIKED her Golden Globes dress *shrug* But I’d also be one of the ones they are asking “why are you here” at fashion week!

TINA FEY – HOT, HOT, HOT

Tina Fey is so talented — as a comedic writer, actor and (probably) a producer as well. I’m so happy that she was able to take her many talents mainstream and finally get some recognition in front of the camera. For me, Tina represents “real women” in that industry, and I think we need more women like her in Hollywood setting a great example.

Tina Fey is such a joke. She talks about girls being nice to each other and being strong and ignoring bullies who pick on how they look. Look at her with her gossiping and picking on other women and how she encourages airbrushing. Then again when she preached about girls being nice, she was trying to peddle Mean Girls a few years ago.

She’s a sell-out.
