It really does not matter who is the “face” for Haiti, they chose Beyonce because they know she will reach millions of people and that’s what matters, that she reaches people so they will go out and buy the shirt and ultimately that’s what is needed in order to Help Haiti. That IS the ultimate goal after all, to help them. And why is there a need for them or any public face to advertise how much they donate? As long as they donate that’s all that matters, they don’t have to publicly say they do. People who advertise their donation amounts don’t donate truly from the heart, they do it in order to gain recognition for doing something good and that’s now that it’s all about.

Really, it is so sad how people always attack Beyonce with false and misleading information. She has her own charities and she has donated millions to other charities. Honestly, not everyone is going to donate to Haiti. However, for those who may not donate for whatever reasons might purchase the T-shirts because of Beyonce. I think this is a wise decision and very clever.

I am thankful to any celebrity or ordinary person who helps for a cause. I think it is sad when celebrities visit disaster areas with an entire film crew. I think to myself “wow how noble.” LOL

What is with you people???? First of all, Beyonce will be a great help in selling these tee shirts for a very good cause, which she seems to do a lot of. Second, she’s talented in so many ways and she has worked hard for what she has and where she’s at today so I don’t think that anyone has the right to put her down. If you don’t like her, turn the channel. For the rest of us who are amazed by her (and I’m hitting 50 this year) all I can say is You go girl!

I love Beyonce. She’s one of those celebrities who doesn’t feel the need to do a press release or a press conference everytime she does something charitable. Her Survivor Foundation has done a lot of great things, she had food drives at her concerts, she’s one of the celebrities with the most Make a Wish visits for sick children, donated millions to other charities, etc…She has a big heart.

Beyonce was chosen by the CDFA. I’m glad that she didn’t turn it down. It’s admirable that she’s finding another way to help the Haitian relief cause. She’s less in my face than a lot of other celebrities. Yeah, she’s already did the Haitian telethon and her and Jay donated a million together. So kudos to them.

Beyonce has given millions of dollars to charity, but she said that people should give from their heart. Not do it for publicity. Do some of you even know she started to build homes for victims of Katrina right after it happened? She did it before Brad Pitt. She mentioned it one or twice, but she didn’t go on the Today show, ET, Extra, etc.. to talk about it constantly. She got awarded an award from the Miami Children’s Hospital for her work with sick children. So just because you don’t hear about everything doesn’t mean that celebrities aren’t doing good work. Haiti and Louisiana both have Creole cultures. But Beyonce’s family is from Louisiana and Texas.

Beyonce’s Creole family is from Louisiana, not Haiti. Beyonce and Jay performed at the the Haiti telethon and their songs went to Haitian relief. They did donate $1 million dollars to Haitian relief also.

I think Beyonce is an amazing beautiful woman, but why was she picked? Angelina Jolie would have been the perfect choice. Has Beyonce been to Haiti? Angelina has! Perhaps Angelina was the first choice, and she declined. Politics no doubt played a part in the choice.
