The people who are critical of her are probably those who have never even seen a tweezer, let alone a pot of moisturiser. So many women in this country do absolutely NOTHING to enhance their appearances, and boy, does it show!

She has always been way ahead of her time, for example, in not allowing the sun anywhere near her face – how many ladies of her age have skin like that?

When you look at how much models much younger than Joan have their photos airbrushed, nobody says a thing. Just because she is older, and extremely glamorous, certain people want to take a swipe at her. No doubt La Collins would cut them dead with her rapier wit – and good for her, say I!
