As the reigning face of Burberry, Emma Watson is already an established fashionista, so when we found out she would be designing a charity line for British fair-trade fashion label People Tree, we couldn’t wait to see what she had up her stylish sleeve. And by the looks of it, Emma did not disappoint! Acting as a creative advisor, Emma helped the team at People Tree create a vibrant collection of knitwear for women and men, consisting of cotton T-shirts, jersey dresses, poplin skirts and shorts. And what’s more, Emma shows off her designs in a 36-page color catalogue for the label. “I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty,” she says in a statement. “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion.” As such, 80% of Watson’s new line is made of 100% fair trade-certified cotton. Love what you see? People Tree will begin shipping to the U.S.A this week. –David Yi

I love the clothes. Finally a youthful and ethical line. Good prices as well. Maybe more designers will do the same if this clothing line is successful.

Emma could wear a potato-sack and still look hot! Seriously though, kudos to her and People Tree for the eco-friendly effort.

I have enjoyed watching Emma Watson grow up on Harry Potter and she has turned into a smart, savvy, young woman with all the right ideas. She is also a good actress in her own right. Congradulations to you and good luck in your fashion line, Emma.

Just noticed most of her clothes are labeled “Made in Nepal”….sweatshops, really? Eco-friendly, maybe, people friendly, not so much.

Emma Watson has grown into such a beautiful, thoughtful, and classy girl. It is also impressive that education is important to her and that she is enrolled in college! I personally am not a fan of these fashions, but kudos to her for supporting a good cause.
