Rodarte Fashion Exhibition To Open Next Month

Landov

Rodarte, the wildly imaginative line by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, can be found on trend-setting stars, from Reese Witherspoon to Natalie Portman—as well as civilian fashionistas, with the successful launch of their affordable GO International Collection for Target, which promptly sold out upon hitting stores in December. As if the award-winning line (the sisters won the 2009 CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award) needed any more validation, it will soon be on display at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in N.Y.C, as the focus of the upcoming “Quicktake: Rodarte” fashion installation. A selection of Rodarte designs from past collections will be on view from February 11th through March 14th. For more information, visit cooperhewitt.org. -Emily Hsieh

Sandra Bullock Teams Up With Coach to Benefit Charity

Donating $1 million to Haiti relief was just phase one of Sandra Bullock’s philanthropic efforts: the actress has also paired up with Coach to benefit one of her favorite local Los Angeles charities: the Beauty Bus Foundation. The non-profit’s Co-founder and President Alicia Liotta explains the mission of Beauty Bus as being “dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for homebound terminally and chronically ill individuals and their primary caregivers. It is our mission to help our clients maintain dignity, treat them to human touch that is pampering and non-medical and offer respite during life’s difficult times. We also feel it is extremely important to service the caregiver, who are rarely recognized or rewarded for the vital services they provide to our most vulnerable citizens.” And now if you purchase one of Sandra’s two favorite Coach bags, either the Madison Leather Hippie or the Kristin Leather Tote, a percentage of the profits will benefit Beauty Bus — an arrangement that came as welcome surprise to Liotta. She tells PEOPLE that, “We learned of Sandra and Coach’s partnership to benefit Beauty Bus from Fortis Films. In fact, the project was put together by Coach and Sandra. It was an incredible surprise and is a gift to the Beauty Bus Foundation.” Sandra reached out to the charity last year after seeing a piece about the non-profit on local television and, Liotta tells PEOPLE that she and her production company Fortis Films “have been such a wonderful support. We are so grateful to Sandra and Coach for teaming up to assist us in raising much needed funds to continue identifying and servicing individuals in need.” Buy one of the Coach bags now at coach.com.–Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

She’s done it again! Supermodel Bar Refaeli (and Leonardo DiCaprio’s on-again main squeeze) is starring in another sizzling campaign for clothing company Rampage, marking her second season as the face of the brand. Through a release, the Israeli-born 24-year-old says, “Rampage’s spring collection is amazing. Bid on Britney’s Dress and More Star Style Items to Benefit Haiti

Gilbert Flores/Celebrity Photo

On the heels of last weekend’s Hope for Haiti telethon, stars continue to rally for the relief effort, this time opening up their closets for the cause. Britney Spears will be auctioning off one of the two shimmery silver Versace dresses she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008—which might even be a good luck charm, given that was the same night she made her comeback performance after her public meltdown and took home three wins in the process. Details as to the specific dress and charity have yet to be released. And she’s not the only star who’s opening her closet to benefit the earthquake-stricken country.

Kate Bosworth is putting the diaphanous, size-2 pleated halter dress by Chloe she wore to the Food Bank of New York City’s annual Can-Do awards gala last year up for grabs, with proceeds benefitting OxFam International’s Haiti Relief Program through the Charitybuzz Heal Haiti Charity Auction (to place a bid, visit charitybuzz.com).

–Susan Sarandon is getting in on the action by donating the sultry size-6 Dolce & Gabanna LBD she wore to the 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on January 15 at charityfolks.com. Proceeds from the sale, organized by Modelinia.com and ping pong parlor SPiN New York (of which Sarandon is a co-owner), will benefit Friends of the Orphans in Haiti.

–Artists for Peace and Justice are helping Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Poehler, and Olivia Wilde donate their outfits worn at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards through an eBay auction. Find out more details at artistsforpeaceandjustice.com.

–And while Lady Gaga is holding onto her outrageous costumes, the performance artist/pop singer is selling Lady Gaga Haiti Relief T-shirts on her website, ladygaga.shop.bravadousa.com. To spread the news, she Tweeted, “Buy Gaga merch today. 100% of profit goes to earthquake relief. Little Monsters save the world today!” –reporting by K.C. Baker and Ken Lee

Stylist Rachel Zoe Shares Her Top 20 Wardrobe Must-Haves

Andrew Durham/Bravo

Though Rachel Zoe is famous for dressing stars like Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner in elaborate gowns for the red carpet, the stylist reveals that a good chunk of the mail that filters through her website, rachelzoe.com, comes from fans looking for advice on real-life, everyday-wearable pieces. “I get so many questions submitted through Ask Rachel regarding ‘basics.’ It seems to be a fashionably collective thought—readers asking how to discern true wardrobe staples from the fleeting, “trendy” pieces,” Zoe writes on her blog. “Honestly, the word basic doesn’t really exist in my vocabulary—sure I have a favorite cut of denim and classic leather jacket never hurt anybody, but more often than not, I like my every day items to stand out. Because of this, I have compiled a shoppable guide of (not-so) basic items that every girl should have in their closet!” The TV star offers up 20 pieces every girl should have in her closet, using her signature, one-of-a-kind fashion lingo to describe goods like Diane Von Furstenberg’s curve-hugging shift as a “body con dress.” She also gives styling advice for each item on her list, and so for Marc Jacob’s oversize black sunglasses (otherwise known as “go-to-sunnies” and “the ultimate do-not-disturb signs”), the shades-loving star instructs, “Keep them in your bag—or on your face—at all times.” Go to rachelzoe.com to check out more of her must-haves.
