Saying that putting together Chanel’s Spring 2010 show was a time consuming feat is an understatement — a serious understatement. Try over 1300 hours put into the wedding dress and cape alone! With so much detail that went into the collection–composed of mostly short pastel colored suits, slim boucle jackets, and an exuberant wedding dress–the show may have very well been one of the most ambitious in Karl Lagerfeld’s entire fifty-four show career — and the only one where he hasn’t used black or navy, he tells Style.com. “Silver and pastel,” he said. “It’s the first time in my whole career I’ve done a collection without black or navy.
