Donating $1 million to Haiti relief was just phase one of Sandra Bullock’s philanthropic efforts: the actress has also paired up with Coach to benefit one of her favorite local Los Angeles charities: the Beauty Bus Foundation. The non-profit’s Co-founder and President Alicia Liotta explains the mission of Beauty Bus as being “dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for homebound terminally and chronically ill individuals and their primary caregivers. It is our mission to help our clients maintain dignity, treat them to human touch that is pampering and non-medical and offer respite during life’s difficult times. We also feel it is extremely important to service the caregiver, who are rarely recognized or rewarded for the vital services they provide to our most vulnerable citizens.” And now if you purchase one of Sandra’s two favorite Coach bags, either the Madison Leather Hippie or the Kristin Leather Tote, a percentage of the profits will benefit Beauty Bus — an arrangement that came as welcome surprise to Liotta. She tells PEOPLE that, “We learned of Sandra and Coach’s partnership to benefit Beauty Bus from Fortis Films. In fact, the project was put together by Coach and Sandra. It was an incredible surprise and is a gift to the Beauty Bus Foundation.” Sandra reached out to the charity last year after seeing a piece about the non-profit on local television and, Liotta tells PEOPLE that she and her production company Fortis Films “have been such a wonderful support. We are so grateful to Sandra and Coach for teaming up to assist us in raising much needed funds to continue identifying and servicing individuals in need.” Buy one of the Coach bags now at coach.com.–Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

yet another reason to love Sandra.

All of her choices; the man she married, the step children complete with ex wifes, the dogs she adopted, the movies she makes, the things that are important to her.

One of the few in hollywood whom I support. I see her movies and would give to her causes.

Not since Paul Newman have I had this level of respect for an actor.

Nice headline except for us non-purse people. I thought Sandra was teaming up with the guy from last year’s Survivor which certainly didn’t make any sense to me, hence I checked out the article. I don’t think Coach would look too good with that particular style purse….

SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT. I THINK SHE IS WHAT BEAUTY IS ALL ABOUT.

Sandra certainly is the humblist, greatest, and sweetest person. She is to be admired as being very sincere as an actress and person. I pray that she doesn’t ever disapoint us like John Edwards did/has.

This lady is a class act. Sandra Bullock is what entertainment should be all about.

Yes, this is why I adore Sandra Bullock. She is a wonderful actress, great director, and still manages to use what she has to help those in need. From New Orleans, to Haiti and now to this. And I love the style of Coach bags that she carries. It is just too bad I am one of those that can’t afford to purchase one (even though I would LOVE to have one) so that a portion of the proceeds could go to this worthwhile cause!
