The reason big celebrities donate dresses and such to be auctioned is because they get money from a group of people who more than likely wouldn’t donate in the first place. When a rich little girl sees Britney Spears’ dress up for auction she gets her daddy’s high limit credit card and does whatever she can to get that dress. Celebrities have made millions of dollars doing these sort of things and have helped many tragedy victims because of rich little girls with their daddy’s credit cards.

Please may this be the last gasp of Britney’s 15 minutes of fame. She’s untalented and uninteresting. And donating dresses for Haiti? That’s up there with Lindsay Lohan “saving” children by stepping off a plane in India.

Why is everybody being agressive? Everyone gives out as much as they can. We can’t judge or criticize because it is not our money and we don’t event know what they do with it, they can be giving money to other charities. Anyway, isn’t it the thought that counts? They’re using their fame to do something good for once. They auction these clothes Gloria, not because people need fancy dresses but because they know that rich (but not famous) people will buy these clothes and the money will go to Haiti. We may not like these celebrities but what they’re donating (big or small) is very thoughtful and generous. It’s not how much you give, its giving in the first place that counts.

They aren’t donating the dresses. They are being auctioned off and the proceeds are going to Haiti. Its better then doing nothing.
