While celebrating longtime makeup artist Scott Barnes’ new book About Face last night at Provocateur at N.Y.C.’s Gansevoort Hotel, a Louis Vuitton-clad Jennifer Lopez made it a date night with husband Marc Anthony, but couldn’t resist bragging about her twins — and of course, Barnes himself. “Oh, my God, does she play with the makeup,” Lopez told PEOPLE of daughter Emme tampering with Barnes’ kit as the star is getting dressed. “Both of them do. Max too. They like to paint themselves and you.” Lopez also hinted that if she were to appear on Glee “up against so many high schoolers,” she’d like Barnes to wield his toolbox on the set. “That’s Uncle Scott,” she says. “It’s just like when you go to an office and you have all the same people every day. The hair, the makeup, stylist, the manager. They become like your family. My manager is the godfather to my children.” For his part, the proud “uncle” can’t resist gushing about his niece and nephew: “Emme’s just like Jennifer, she’s really refined and she loves jewelry. She has a little bracelet and she always turns it and looks at it.” Barnes continues: “Max is all boy. And she’s such a girl. She’s says, ‘Look at my shoes!’ She shows you her shoes. He wants to play, he wants to rough house and she’s like, Let me sit here and look at my dress. And I say, ‘Your dress is beautiful!’ And she says, ‘Beautiful.’” Buy a copy of About Face (with J. Lo on the cover, of course!) for $17 at amazon.com now. –Jeffrey Slonim

I love JLo, and think she is very beautiful! However, what is going on with her eyebrows?? They are usually so well groomed…it looks like shes let them go a little too long if you ask me…

Blondie on

Jenny from the block looks like she has been around the block. Go hide your days are gone. Stop trying to find a way back in the media! No one cares!!!

I am NOT a fan of jello, but I can’t believe the “old” comments. Well, she’s 40 so she isn’t supposed to look like a 15 year old. And what is she supposed to do? Run and hide? Are 40 year olds supposed to be put out to pasture? This is not a good photo of her and I don’t really like her style, but ageism, especially expressed by other women, needs to stop.

I agree with the bushy eyebrows, but the other two comments are so rediculous…. “starting to age; looking older” Ummm, guess what ladies, people DO get older, yah it’s a fact of life! But I’m sure you two look the same as 10 years ago, right. Perhaps try to find something less pathetic to complain about!

JLO looks great! I agree her brows could use a touch-up but she looks better than a lot of 20 somethings out there…. TEAM JLO!!!
