Proactiv Solution, the world’s best-selling pimple-fighting beauty regimen, probably also boasts the longest and most renowned list of celebrity spokespeople—especially with the just-announced additions of Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and Jenna Fischer to their lineup. WWD reports that the trio of stars will join Proactiv’s famous pitchpeople — which already include Mandy Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Julianne Hough — by touting the acne remedy with televised one-minute, two-minute, and 30-second commercials launching later this month. They’ll be compensated handsomely in return, as company exec Ben Van de Bunt confirms, “We are paying people consistently with what we have done in the past, which is millions of dollars.” Perry, Lavigne, and Fischer’s new gig will last at least a year, and expect to see the ads airing worldwide, as the line is carried in more than 58 countries. that would be cool if proactive actually worked. i tried it for 2 months and all it did ws make my acne worse. talked to other people who say the same thing too. don’t waste your money, i’m sure these celebs never actually used it either.

Another set of additions to the “Pimple Posse”.

My daughter used Proactive for a while. It didn’t work for her. However, Acne Free does. I think you need to have a very bad case of acne in order for Proactive to work. I know people who use proactive and it works wonders, however, they had a really bad case of it.

Proactiv does work, but you have to stick with it in the beginning. It works by clearing out your pores first so it gets worse before it gets better! Plus you have to use it regularly to see the correct results!

PROACTIV DID NOT WORK FOR ME EITHER. TRY NEUTROGENA’S SKIN ID. THAT STUFF WORKS GREAT!

I work for Proactiv and IT REALLY WORKS! You all are probably skipping steps and using it wrong. It usually gets worse before it gets better. Quit bashing our product!

Ella on

Proactiv doesn’t work, that’s true. Also, a real spokesperson for the company wouldn’t come on a website and accuse users of ignorantly skipping steps, then end with ‘Quit bashing our product!’ That’s far to immature to be the words of an actual employee.

Proactive did not work for my step-daughter but works for my son, and works FAST for him! Everyone is different. They sure have lots of money for advertising huh?! Guess the economy doesn’t zits!

I used Proactive when I had back acne in my teens, due from caked on makeup- I danced. It made my skin extremely irritated and break out even more. When I called to cancel, they told me that what it does, brings all the “imperfections” to the surface then works its “magic”. Funny thing..NON of that is said in their ads. All you hear is people talk about how in just days it was so much better. Yea, I am sure it was given you probably used that major top of the line stuff only celebs seem to ever be able to get their hands on…and air brushing. P.Diddy was reported to only be supporting them if he had a jet provided…so it’s only about the money…

Lindsay just because proactiv didn’t work for you doesn’t mean its a waste of money for someone else! Everyones skin is different and there for it may react differently as well, duhh!! I started using proactiv when I was 14, I didn’t have super bad acne…more like mild or moderate when I was stressed, but it was nothing over the counter products could heal so I tryed proactiv and it worked wonders for me. I use to get so many compliments on how beautiful my skin was! However, Im 23 now and proactiv has seemed to have lost its touch after almost 10 years. It seems I’ve become immune to it after so many years of using it and it no longer keeps my face clear like it use to, it worked great up until about 2 years ago!! I think its defintely worth a try though!!
