Looks like Lindsay Lohan‘s hope for a drama-free 2010 is already over. Merely a week after plans to expand her leggings line 6126 into a full fashion line hit the internet — complete with sketches — Lindsay has been accused of copying designs by two separate designers, reports WWD. First, James Lillis, designer of Black Milk Clothing, took to his blog, toomanytights.typepad.com, to point out the similarities between Lindsay’s “Diamond” leggings and his own “Sheer Spartan” leggings — both of which boast a signature triangle cutout at mid-thigh. Next,Fashionista.com labeled Lindsay’s geometric dress as a dead ringer for a Jen Kao dress the star wore only last month — to which designer Jen Kao responded to WWD, saying, “While we are all well aware that being ‘mimicked’ or ‘copied’ has always existed in this industry, I think the evolution of it all has grown to an alarming level. It’s a shame to support the concept of taking advantage of designers who are still trying to develop a name and solidify the image of their design aesthetic.” While Lindsay has yet to respond to the accusations against her, Kristi Kaylor, president of 6126, defended Lindsay and the integrity of her designs to WWD, saying, “The alleged ‘copying’ claims made by these companies are false and have absolutely no merit or validity whatsoever. Any alleged similarities are purely coincidental. The 6126 illustrations for the upcoming fall 2010 collections do not even describe the fabric content, fit or actual construction details of the garments. This is merely an accusation based upon a pencil sketch with no concrete viable evidence to back up the allegations.”

I don’t think I can handle another year of more Lindsay Lohan drama. I’m sooo sick of it also.

I can’t believe the president of 6126 is defending the sketch of the geometric dress. It is a dead ringer for the dress Lindsay wore. Anyone who can see can attest that the geometric design on the dress is identical shape by shape.

It is an insult for someone of that stature of a company to say the claim is without merit.

I am sad for her. I really hope that she seeks therapy and tries to get better. As much fun as it is to bash people, we don’t really know them. We have had enough tragic deaths last year that came way too soon.

This is one messed up family

Everyone that’s defending her needs to look at the most incriminating evidence here which is that Lindsay OWNS this piece of clothing that she copied. It’s one thing for a designer to claim they were copied when there are a few similarities but the alleged copier was never photographed in the particular piece of clothing but here’s Lindsay actually wearing the dress in question. In my eyes that’s even more supporting evidence on the side of the accuser. Shame on you, Lindsay, for stealing others’ ideas and attempting to profit on them.

Yes she is annoying, but don’t you think this is EXACTLY what people would have been saying about Drew Barrymore if we had places to post our opinions back in the 80’s? And look at her now, all clean and sober, making a life for herself and doing well i might add. Lindsay HAD talent back when she was 12… hopefully one day she will sober up and grow up.

After seeing the mess of a fashion show at Ungaro, is anyone surprised that she may have copied someone else’s clothing. The girl has no fashion talent. Most celebrities hire designers to do their fashion lines. Lindsay just steals it.
A class act. I have some advice for Lindsay (not that she’s reading this)-go to rehab for a minimum of 60 days, get rid of the hangers-on and enablers, and have someone that you trust to handle your business. It worked for Britney Spears. Do it before you become washed up or worse yet, DIE!
