Sharon Stone’s New Elton John-Inspired Jewelry Collection with Damiani

Courtesy Damiani; Landov

In an effort to find the perfect couples’ gift for Elton John and David Furnish, Sharon Stone took matters into her own hands and designed custom rings for the duo. The results, made in conjunction with Italian jeweler Damiani—a gold eternity band bedecked with 2 carat rough diamonds for John, a silver eternity ring with 5 carat diamonds for Furnish—inspired a just-unveiled collection called “Maji” (which means “water” in Swahili) that also includes pendants, earrings, and bracelets. The for-charity pieces (proceeds benefit an organization called “A Drop In A Bucket”, which builds water wells in Africa) are done in burnished metals with raw diamonds for a masculine, undone look, and each one is signed by the actress. At their new London boutique, Damiani’s Vice President, Silvia Damiani, told PEOPLE more about the collaboration with Stone, “This collection, which will be launching this Christmas with a men’s range, was her idea. It took four years to develop. The idea came about as Sharon has a lot of friends in the gay community and she also wanted to give something special to her friends Elton John and his partner David Furnish.” Damiani continues, “I really like the way Sharon thinks,” she said. “She sees things in a different perspective and has a very clear vision in her mind. She had a lot of input in this as she is very creative. The whole thing was her concept.” See the full collection at Damiani.com. –reporting by Dimi Gaidatzi

Christian Louboutin On Jennifer Lopez’s New Single: “I Was Extremely Flattered!”

Kevin Mazur/AMA2009/WireImage; Rex USA

Despite seeing his elaborate heels on the feet of countless celebrities, Christian Louboutin’s icon status reached all new heights with the release of Jennifer Lopez’s new song, “Louboutins” from her upcoming Love? album. At the recent opening of his Miami boutique, Fashion Week Daily asked the French designer for his take on the single: “Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered,” he said. “But of course, in America the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did…from the very first time!” According Louboutin, who claims to already know the song by heart, Lopez mentions his name 45 times (“Trust me, I’ve counted!”) in the three-plus-minute dance track. We can’t wait to see what comes next in the Louboutin-J. Lo love fest: the stiletto master is hard at work creating shoes for the eponymous music video, set to film next month.

EXCLUSIVE: Sara Rue is the New Jenny Craig Spokesperson!

Alison Dyer

Valerie Bertinelli and Nicole Sullivan are about to be in even better company as Eastwick star Sara Rue joins them as the newest spokesperson for Jenny Craig. The 31-year-old actress tells PEOPLE that she can’t wait to start the program. “My weight has fluctuated my whole life, and because I’ve been on television since I was 11 years old, everyone has seen it,” she explains. “I think like so many women in this country I have a problem controlling what I eat sometimes based on my emotional health.” Bertinelli, who lost 40 pounds on Jenny Craig, tells PEOPLE that Rue “is me three years ago. She’s every woman who’s ever started a diet.” She will be a good spokesperson because, “she’s real. She’s honest.” Rue’s initial weight loss goal is 30 pounds. Then, she says, “we’ll see how my body looks, how I feel, and go from there.” Her first post-weight loss goal? “Rock climbing or wind surfing!” Rue says. “The things that I’m just too intimidated the size I am now to do.” But the big question remains: Does she want to follow in Bertinelli’s footsteps and sport a bikini? “If I look half as good as Valerie does at the end of this, maybe, possibly,” Rue says, smiling. “I don’t know if I’m more scared of sharks or being in a bathing suit. Maybe sharks, depending on the day.” For more on Rue, pick up the December 14 issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.–Monica Rizzo

George Clooney’s Flying Tips: Slip-on Shoes? Absolutely. Eye Masks? Never!

Flynet

He plays a frequent-flying hatchet man in Up in the Air, and spends much of his own time jetting between his Los Angeles home base and his Italian villa on Lake Como, so you can bet George Clooney knows a thing or two about air travel. “The trick is slip-on shoes,” the actor told PEOPLE at the L.A. premiere of the film on Monday night. “I am telling you, that’s the secret. The shoes you have to tie, they take forever.” There is one thing the star won’t be caught dead with on a plane. “I never wear those goofy masks on my eyes,” said Clooney, 48, who arrived at the premiere accompanied both by his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, and his mother Nina. “I am too worried about the guy in the next seat taking a picture of me. That is one photo that you can’t live down.” Adds Clooney, “I’m lucky that I am able to sleep [on a plane] without it.” He will have plenty of opportunity to put those tips to the test. While he finished principal photography on the upcoming thriller The American in the central Italian city of Sulmona, he heads off to Sweden to shoot additional scenes for the film early next year. For more about Clooney, and how he and Canalis keep things hot despite conflicting work schedules, pick up PEOPLE magazine, on newsstands Friday. — Oliver Jones
