Olivia Wilde’s High-Fashion Goal: “I Even Dream of Buying A Balmain Jacket”

While it may seem that most Hollywood actresses have luxe labels at their fingertips, House‘s Olivia Wilde still has a lengthy wish list when it comes to fashion. Lucky‘s latest cover girl tells the magazine, “I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest.” As for her desire to achieve Parisian-chic style, we think Olivia is already there–even sans the Balmain. For one thing, there’s the 25 year-old’s love of hipster, biker leather. “A cool leather jacket is my security blanket. No matter what I have on underneath, I feel more like myself when I’m wearing one,” she says. When it’s time to add to her outerwear collection, the starlet’s go-to resource is refreshingly mainstream: “Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on—so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting,” she says. The down-to-earth actress also favors Helmut Lang staples for their versatility. “I own a lot of Helmut Lang.
