Carrie Underwood Debuts Her Engagement Ring!

Carrie Underwood certainly has a lot to smile about this holiday season. The newly engaged 26 year-old country singer turned up at her fiancé Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher’s game last night flashing some major sparkle on her left hand. A spokesperson from the Diamond Information Center estimates the brilliant round diamond comes in at whopping five-plus carats, with an estimated value of close to $150,000. Whew! Underwood, who famously declared her affection for her beau in the liner notes of her recent album, Play On (“I love you so much!” she wrote. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”), accepted Fisher’s proposal on Sunday, following a year-long courtship. -Emily Hsieh

For those haters who are obviously jealous of the ring (or the cost of it)…move to a communist country if you think everyone has to be equal. Otherwise accept that you live in a capitalist country. They both give money and time to charities, so what’s the big deal? They both are two very good decent people who just happen to be successful at their chosen careers. What’s wrong with that? I wish them both success and happiness in life and their careers.

I absolutely adore Carrie like a mom and hope that he treats her right and makes her happy forever. Just remember both have to work on it every day, be respectful of each others feelings and listen. The ring is beautiful but not as beautiful as real love. Wish her and her boy a wonderful Christmas and fabulouse New Years

I’m so happy for them both! Mike is a great guy & he’s the most loved Senator on the team. It’s been long coming for him to find the perfect girl & Carrie is the one. Being from Ottawa, it’s great to have Carrie here. As for the ring…WOW!! That’s a rock, way to go Mike! I wish them all the best!
